Material characteristicsThe universal heavy-duty gasketfor an extremely wide range ofapplications in the chemical andpetrochemical industries as wellas in the shipbuilding industry forchemical tanker applications.
Due to its unique load bearingproperties it is able to withstandhigh temperatures and pressuresand it is the only PTFE gasket witha Fire Safe Certificate.
It is also the first choice in thefood sector and in the pharma-ceutical industry, for steam appli-cations and in oxygen pipes andwhere special requirements aremade acc. to TA Luft (GermanClean Air regulation).
KLINGER®top-chem 2000 offers theadvantages of PTFE gaskets withoutthe disadvantages commonly associated with PTFE materials. This allows you to use these mate-rials in applications where tradi-tionally they are unsuitable, savingyou maintenance time and improvingplant safety.
Advantages in the use of KLINGER ®top-chem 2000With KLINGER®top-chem 2000 thehigh relaxation typical of standardfilled PTFE gaskets is not observed. At a load of 50 MPa and a tempera-ture of 200°C the relaxation of thismaterial is only just 2%.
This ensures that bolt forces are maintained even under severeconditions.
Therefor it is not necessary toretighten the bolts and the risk ofincreasing the leakage through lossin surface pressure is minimized. This behaviour is unique in theworld of PTFE gaskets and can justbe achieved with the use ofKLINGER®top-chem 2000.
KLINGER®top-chem 2000:Universal gasket material for highsurface pressures at simultaneoushigh temperatures

KLINGER®soft-chem
If your operating temperatures and pressures fall within this field, a technical examination is normallyunnecessary.
If your operating temperatures and pressures are within this field, atechnical examination is recommended.
If your operating temperaturesand pressures are within this ”open”field, a technical examination isalways necessary.
KLINGER®top-chem:A complete sealing package for safe performance
KLINGER®top-chem offer the advan-tages of PTFE gaskets without thedisadvantages commonly associatedwith PTFE materials. This allows youto use these materials in applicationswhere traditionally they are unsuit-able, saving you maintenance timeand improving plant safety.
The Complex Demands on aGasketThe successful operation of a gasketdepends upon a multiplicity of factors. Many who use static gasketsbelieve that the values quoted formaximum admissible temperatureand maximum operating pressure areinherent properties or characteristicsof gaskets and gasket materials.Unfortunately, this is not the case.
The maximum temperatures and pressures at which gaskets may beused are influenced by a large number of factors. Therefore a definite statement of these values forgaskets material is not possible.
