English Garden Inspired Patio Makeover with Kmart The first thing on the list was a gazebo or pergola or something

for this area-It gets full sun~ and in the Summer- that means full,

blazing hot sun sometimes. So it has been hard to find a shady spot

to relax in this area of the yard up until now. Kmart had a bunch of

great options for a gazebo.

This gazebo was a perfect fit. The panels are moveable and can be

placed at each side~ which makes it easy to adjust and change the

look. It was fairly easy to put up and it fit the center of this larger

patio well. It also has a bar area which is perfect for setting food on

next to the grill or for serving.Inside the gazebo is a set of charming

English Cottage Garden inspired furniture. I loved how it was

inspired by vintage design and looks much like something you would

find at a high end store but with a reasonable Kmart price.

My Great Grill and Patio MAKEOVER! Picking out our new furniture and grill could not have been easier...

Kmart has this amazing system where you can purchase your items

online and pick them up at the store in just a few hours!

So, Thursday night (thats right...just a day and a half before our

guests arrived) I sat down at my computer and did my shopping.

I looked through the online catalog to get an idea of what was

available (just click the image above to see the catalog for

yourself)...and then I picked out my favorites on Kmarts website.

Their Patio Finder makes it so easy to choose your furniture and

accessories...

And, with Kmarts Grill Finder, you just click on your personal grill

criteria, and the site shows you whats available! Cool, huh?

My Kmart Outdoor Backyard Patio/Pool Spruce UpWe try to keep up with our backyard, but with the windy weather weve

had lately, its a frustrating task. All that dust has worn out our pool

accessories and patio decor, so we need some new pool toys, accent

pieces, and some new color to liven things up. Weve got several big

parties coming up in our backyard in the new few weeks, including a

dinner for fifty 8th graders, so our pool and patio area needs some major

sprucing up...pronto! I decided to get some help from Kmart Outdoor!

One of the biggest problems with our pool area is lighting. Believe it or

not, it is already too hot to use the pool in the middle of the day, so we

often entertain in the evening when it is cooler. The ground lighting that

came with our house is not very bright, so as it gets dark outside and our

backyard gets really dark. We need more and unique lighting, something

that will give our backyard an elegant resort look.

One of the things I like best about Kmart is that I can shop from home, on

my computer (even at 11pm at night), purchase items if Id like, and then

pick them up at the store.

Patio Makeover with Kmart!So, for an early Mothers Day present, I headed to Kmart to find some

new ways to spruce up our space. Read on to see more pics and how

I did it!

First off, I needed to decide what I wanted to buy. This was the hard

part- but Kmarts website makes it really easy. I was actually knocked

out with a really bad infection all week, so I knew I needed to do a

majority of my shopping online,

since a fever doesnt make for

inspired shopping trips.

No problem-I found everything

quickly and easily. I picked out

items that were in stock in our

local Kmart, and was really

happy to learn I could not only

put them on layaway for a very reasonable down amount- (I wanted

to lock in the BEST prices from the current sale while I slept on my

purchases for a few nights), but I could also use Paypal to checkout,

as well! I love being able to use my paypal account, since that is how

I am paid through my Etsy shop and blog. No money transfers makes

this mommy happy!

Summer GrillingWow, how is it already May? We have some major

summer grilling holidays coming up! Mothers Day is

this weekend and then Memorial Day on the 28th (the

unofficial start of the summer grilling holidays), then of

course all the grad parties, Fathers Day, Fourth of July,

Labor Daywe also have a couple family birthdays and

other random excuses to party throughout the summer

months.

We decided to pick up a new grill and some summer

grilling gear at Kmart to get ready for all these party

shenanigans. They have some awesome summer gear

over there, including really, really good prices on grills and

patio sets. In last Sundays weekly deals circular, I found

deals for 20% off all patio cushions and umbrellas, 20% off

all folding lawn furniture, a metal arbor with gate on sale

Gearing Up for Summer GrillingMr. Mom Endeav ors has been want ing a new grill for

a while and we were able to get this awe some Red

Plus, we snagged some other grilling & out door decor

acces sories per fect for all the sum mer fes tiv i ties.

There are some great options (at great prices) in the

#KmartOut door cat a log.

Between the good selec tion, great prices, Shop Your

Way Rewards (in which we earn points for every $1

we spend), and lay away, it made shop ping for our out-

door items at Kmart really appeal ing (you can see our

whole shop ping trip here on Google+). Since I was

wait ing for a big pay pal pay ment to come through, we

did our shop ping and just decided to put every thing

on lay away. The process was really sim ple! After pay-

ing it off a cou ple of days later, we went in to the store

and they had every thing ready & wait ing for us! The

hard est part was just fig ur ing out how to get it all to

fit in the van (espe cially since the grills were already

assem bled).

Ill Be Lounging by the Pool This Summer Before the lazy days of summer begin, there is one thing I

need to make my lazy days more perfect a lounge chair.

I dont know why we dont have one since it is such a simple

item, but I have wanted one for the longest time. Well I bet

you can guess where this is going Thats right, momma

got herself a lounge chair. And I got one for dad too.

After reviewing Kmarts digital outdoor catalog, I knew

exactly what I wanted a pair of Jaclyn Smith Today

folding lounge chairs. Not only do they look nice, but they

look like they will go very well with the furniture we already

have on our porch. Since the Kmart by our house is closing

next month, and is in liquidation phase, we piled the family

in the car to drive to the Kmart across town that will now be

our Kmart.

Sizzling Grill OutEnjoying a special family gathering while trying to play

hostess at the same time is complicated, but not impossible

if you plan ahead. I must admit, time is not on my side these

days and with our move to Seattle quickly approaching,

I had causal party in mind when I ventured on line and

shopped for my new items at Kmart.

One cannot have a patio make over for Memorial Day and

not indulge in a red grill. While I wanted the food to carry

the bulk of the color theme, I did want the table accents

to complete the decor. Chilled white wine, a berry and

meringue layer cake, sparkling pomegranate punch, extra

large red jelly beans, white candles, a denim blue table

runner with matching napkins and a red table mat gave me

the Memorial Day color theme I was looking for.

A Deck Update With Kmart Outdoor My drab and dingy deck now has a new lease on life thanks to an

update featuring Kmarts Outdoor Living Collection.

I find so much inspiration for the home from catalogs. The Kmart

Spring-Summer 2012 Outdoor Living catalog was no exception. I

immediately knew I wanted to add some pops of color to my deck.

I found even more inspiration while I was shopping. I was able to

pick out an overflowing cart of outdoor goodies and save the current

sale prices with Kmart Layaway. This is on top of my Shop Your Way

Rewards bonuses.

New side tables with planters and annuals all purchased at Kmart

provided a jolt of color and a practical place to hold food and drinks

during a party. New outdoor throw pillows provide comfort and color.

At first I was planning to only purchase the orange, but Im so happy I

picked up the zebra pillows too.

Grilling in the RainIve had my eye on a new grill. Weve been grilling on a tiny grill thats

great for a small family but too small for the big family get together I

plan on hosting on Memorial Day.

I decided to take advantage of the great prices in the

Kmart Outdoor Catalog and put a new grill on Layaway

until payday, just in time for the weekend. All the Kmart

Grills, Accessories and Outdoor Decor is on sale.

I checked out the grills online at Kmart.com before

I headed out on my shopping trip. While browsing

through the grills and accessories online, I came across

the Shop Your Way Rewards program Kmart offers.

I signed right up. Now Ill be earning points for every

dollar I spend at Kmart. Once I have enough points I

can cash them in for some great stuff or even use my

points when I check out while shopping at Kmart.

Sunny Day Brunch with My New Grill from Kmart OutdoorSo meet our new red grillI call her Scaaaarlet OGrillaaaa in my best southern

accent!!! Doesnt she sparkle pretty? She is an amazing outdoor appliance for our

outdoor patio spaceand she will help us keep the indoors nice and cool on these hot

(and I mean HOT honey) Florida days.

I decided to host a practice grilling brunch with Scarlet OGrilla. I am loving the side

burnerI have claimed that for my own. HIMself can have all the restbut that baby

is MINE!!!! Whomever thought of that is my new hero!!! I am out here cooking on that

every morningmy tea pot, my new Sandra Lee soup pot and skillet have all taken

a spin on SOGs side burner. If you have recipes for cooking or baking on my side

burner, please share!!!
