Camperships Available!The Campership Fund has been established to assist any Laurel Highlands Council (LHC) Scout with financial need to experience a LHC summer resident camp. Requests for camperships must be made using the form by March 1st. Forms are available online at: www.lhcscouting.org/camping/resources

Can’t attend with your unit but still want to go?If you are not able to attend with your pack, we welcome you to attend on your own as a parent and Scout team.

What is Camp Independence?Located at Heritage Reservation in Farmington, PA, Camp Independence lets our unique theme take complete control by delivering a program full of fun, challenge, creativity, adventure and learning.

What is Camp Seph Mack?Located at Yellow Creek State Park near Indiana, PA, Camp Seph Mack delivers an age-appropriate themed program supporting teamwork, creativity, adventure and learning.

What’s Unique about Cub and Webelos Camp?• Attending camp helps develop character, introduce new friends,

teaches valuable life skills and helps Scouts discover new interests.

• Campers are assigned to a campsite and stay in platform wall tents, with latrines and hot shower facilities nearby. Adults and youth sleep on cots that are provided.

• Homesickness is rare because the program is packed full of excitement. If it does happen, the staff is trained and ready to give extra individual attention.

• If parents cannot take this entire time off of work, their Scout can still attend! Scouts want to come! Parents are encouraged to rotate their stay with other parents in their den or pack.

• We encourage lots of enthusiasm in the dining hall during meals, so please join in the fun!

• For your swimming and boating experience, we have beautiful lakes (no pool) at both Camp Independence and Camp Seph Mack.

• The program is designed with the novice camper in mind. There is no need for special camping gear or previous camping experience. Our staff is available to support you in your every need.
