This is what happens when I do lace. I am absolutely in love

with the way lace triangles work. With this particular design,

it was a challenge to keep the joy of knitting a triangle

while still maintaining a beautiful fit. The skirt is flared by

changing the needle size rather than making increases. This makes the lower edge of the skirt move a little more

freely giving it a very feminine and delicate feel. I am

not a lover of pink, but I simply couldnt resist this

delicate shade when I saw it in the store.

This rugged jacket features shoulder cables (for strength

and accent), bias pockets, and an overall textured pattern.

Be aware that the knitted fabric is rather spongy and

prone to stretching, so be sure to sew strong seams,

especially at the shoulders. I kept this design relativelysimple and masculine so hell enjoy wearing as much

    as youll enjoy making it!

Each of the seventeen patterns is designed in a

one-of-a-kind way, focusing on knitting sideways or

in an untraditional direction rather than the usual

top-down or bottom-up construction. Knitting at

different angles gives the projects unique shaping

    and fashion-forward silhouettes.

The projects are both classic and stylish,

incorporating clever combinations of texturedstitches and design details.

Learn new techniques for knitting sideways

and every which way and make seventeen

    contemporary, wearable patterns with

    Knitting Off the Axis.
