INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING-UP THE APPLICATION FORM (ONLINE)

1. A candidate can apply for M.E./M.Tech. /M.Pharm ./M.Arch Courses – 2017-18 onl ine through URL ht tp:/ /www. juadmission.jdvu.ac. in/pgEngg_adm ission_2017 f rom 15 t h June, 2017 to 3 r d July, 2017. Candidates are advised to download the Informat ion Brochure and Pay - in-Sl ip of State Bank of India to deposi t Appl icat ion Fee. An Appl icat ion fee of Rs.1000/- i s to be deposi ted through any branch of State Bank of India by f i l l i ng up the down- loaded Pay- in-s l ip. The Journal Num ber m ust be l egib le in the pay- in-s l ip, and to be used in the Form & other ref erences. The appl icants are inst ructed to preserve the count er fo i l of the deposi t s l ip for future ref er ence. Candidates should careful l y read and fo l low the instruct ions given in the Informat ion Brochure befor e f i l l i ng up the onl ine Appl icat ion Form . Incomplete applicat ion forms are l iable to be cancel led.

2. Qual ifying degrees are indicated against each course in Table 1 of fered under FET and FISLM (Parts I & II for FET; Parts I I I to V for FISLM). Against the same applicat ion fee, a candidate can apply in al l the M .E/M.Tech/MMD courses l isted in the table, subject to having the qual i fying degrees as indicated.

3. An appl icant can belong to any of the three cat egor ies, nam ely Category A – GATE/GPAT, Category B – Sponsor ed and Cat egory C – Sel f sponsored as detai led under Art icle 15 - ELIGIBILITY FOR P.G. COURSES IN ENGG./TECH./ARCH./PHARM COURSES. The qual i f i cat ion requi rem ents in each course are l i s ted in Table 1 (Par ts I to V) . Table 2 indicates the dates, t im e and venue of Adm ission Tests. Category A (GATE/GPAT) and Category C (Sel f -Sponsored) candidates should appear in Admission test i f appl icable and al l Category B (Sponsored) candidates should appear in Admission test . Category-wise avai lable seats and tui t ion fee are l i s ted in Table 3 for FET and Tables 4 to 6 for FISLM.

4. Whi le f i l l i ng ONLINE Appl icat ion Form/s al l candidates (passed / appeared or due to appear in qual i fying examination) are instructed to upload sel f -at tested and scanned copies of documents i r respect ive of categor ies as l i s ted under A) below and depending on the cat egory as l i s ted under B) below.

A) I r respect ive of the category, all candidates must upload sel f-at tested and scanned copies of i ) m ark-sheets of each sem ester of Undergraduate degr ee exam inat ion for Engineering

courses (at least up to 6 t h , preferably 7 t h semester for 4 year UG courses and at least up to 8 t h , preferably 9 t h semester in case of Archi tecture; a cert if icate f rom Controller of Examiner in case the final year odd semester result is not avai lable )

or Undergraduate and Postgraduate degr ee exam inat ions in Science courses (a l l the

5. Candidates are also request ed to keep a pho to copy of print out of System Generated On l ine

Appl icat ion Form for future refer ence.

6. A candidate, who requires to appear in Admission Test as indicated in Table 2) is requested to download their Admit -card us ing the l ink given in Ar t i c le 1 in Page 1 and to bring his /her admi t card duly aff i xing his /her recent photograph wi th s ignature in the speci f ied space at the t im e of respect ive Admission Tests.

7. No admission test wi l l be required for GATE/GPAT quali f ied candidates for Autom obi le Engg.

contact the respect ive of f i ce of the FET or FISLM in person at least 3 days before the respect ive date of adm ission test a long with the pr int out of system generated onl ine Appl icat ion Form and appl icant ’s par t of Pay- in Sl ip.

9. Provisional Mer i t l i s t in each course/specia l i zat ion and the f i rst l i s t of selected candidates wi l l be put

up on the Univers i ty websi te (g iven in Ar t i c le 1 in Page 1) on 10 t h July. The subsequent l i st of select ed candidates for the vacant seats from the provis ional m er i t l i st wi l l be put up in the websi te f rom t im e to t im e . Candidates are requested to t rack necessary instruct ions and informat ion to be put up in the websi te f rom time to t ime.

10. As per ci rcular No. BC-16014/1/82-SC dt .06/08/1984 & BCD-I , D.O.12017/11/89-SCD(R.CELL) dt .08/01/1990 and let ter No. 1510-SCW dt . 31/05/2007 f rom the Government of West Bengal , Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tr ibe Candidates of any State other than West Bengal are not ent i t led for SC/ST seats in Educational Insti tutions in West Bengal .

11. Reservat ion of Seats for SC/ST categories have been made as per Government of India norms.

3% PWD (Persons wi th disabil i ties) is reserved in Sel f -sponsored Category as a supernumerary intake.

14. CANDIDATES SHOULD NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

a) Each appl icant can apply in separate Course/s onl ine against the sam e receipt f rom S.B. I . b) Each individual apply ing in a program with m ul t ip le specia l i zat ions and/or in mult iple courses

( ref Table 1, for the courses) should indicate the avai lable prefer ences ser ia l l y f rom highest to lowest . For instance, an individual apply ing in courses A, B and C wi th B having f i ve specia l i zat ions B1 to B5 and C(E) and C(I ) being of fered under FET and FISLM respect ively may submit the prefer ence as A=3, B1=4, B2=1, B3=5, B4=8, B5=2, C(E)=6, C(I )=7, the last num ber being the rank of choice execut ed by a candidate.

c) Fai lure to appear at the Adm ission Test on the speci f ied dat e wi l l cancel h is /her candidature wi thout any fur ther correspondence.

d) Regist rat ion of appl i cat ion or fu l f i lm ent of minimum el ig ibi l i t y cr i ter ia does not confer any r ight of the appl icant to be cal led for admission test / interv iew/admission.

e) Submission of appl icat ion does not confer any r ight on the candidate for being issued Admit Card or Acknowledgement Receipt and also for being cal led for Admission Test /Admission. APPLICATION FEE IS NOT REFUNDABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUM STANCES.

Category (A) – GATE/GPAT: Obtained Bachelor ’s degr ee in Engg. /Tech. /Arch. /Pharmacy or M.Sc. /MCA (see NOTES and Table 1 - ELIGIBILTY SCHEDULE below) wi th at least average Grade point 6.75 (60%) for General Candidate or Grade point 5.25 (45%) for SC/ST/PWD Candidate and qual i f ied through GATE/GPAT having val id GATE/GPAT Score.
