WELCOME

This comprehensive reference guide contains step by step instructions for using Komatsu’s online store. If you experience difficulties or have questions please contact the Komatsu Customer Support Centre. Their details can be found at the end of this guide.

Some new terminology

The online store uses terminology that might be different from the terms you use when ordering from a parts counter in a branch. To avoid any confusion we’ve prepared a list for you here

Device – this is your machine or piece of equipment Item – part or component SRM – service meter reading Device number – Komatsu’s internal identifier for your machine

Logging into the store

To access our online store you will need a username and password. If you don’t have a username and password please contact the Komatsu Customer Support Centre. Their details can be found at the end of this guide.

1) Open the internet browser on your computer 2) Type http://buy.komatsu.com.au

3) Enter your username 4) Enter your password 5) Click the Sign in button

If you have forgotten your password you should click the Forgot your password? Click here to reset link. The system will generate a new password and send it to you by email.

What you see when you log in

When you log into our online store you will see a list of all the devices (machines) that we have registered to your account. Alongside each device is a list to the parts book for that machine.

At this point you can

Open a parts book, find the parts you need and add them to your shopping cart (page 4)

Add individual parts to your shopping cart (page 11) See what’s in your shopping cart (page 17) Review any open orders you have placed through the online store (page

24).

SELECTING PARTS

Searching machines

You can filter on the machine list by any of the fields listed in All devices. The system allows you to enter the search criteria and choose the field you wish to search by.

1) Enter the search criteria, this can be your machine fleet number, model

number etc.

2) Filter to the desired field to be searched from, for a fleet number select

Private number.

3) Expand the search options.

4) Select Apply filter.

Adding parts from a parts book

You can open the parts book for one of your machines to identify the parts you want to order. The system allows you to add parts from the parts book to your shopping cart.

This is a two step process. First you find and add the parts to the parts book’s shopping cart and then you transfer these to the online store’s shopping cart.

1) Click the Open parts book link for the device (machine) you want parts for. This will open a new window in your web browser and load the parts book.

2) Click on the different sections of the parts book to find the section of the machine you are looking for

3) Select the part that you want and click the Cart icon to add the part to the shopping cart.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have added all the parts you need.

4) Click the Checkout button to return the parts to the online store to complete your purchase

To finalise your transaction, please go to the Importing a list of parts to your shopping cart

You can import a text file that contains part numbers and quantities of the items you want to buy straight into your shopping cart.

1) Prepare your text file. You can create this in Notepad or export from Excel as a .CSV file. The file format is itemNumber, quantity, configuration, colour, style Leave configuration, colour and style blank if not known or required.

2) Open the shopping cart by clicking on the Shopping cart link in the left hand side navigation bar

3) Click the Import order file button

4) Click on the Choose file button

5) Locate your text file and click Open

6) Click the OK button 7) Review the list of parts you are importing and click OK

8) The parts are now added to your shopping cart.

9) Identify the device that each part is for.

Understanding availability

L : the item is available at the branch associated with your account A : the item is available at another Komatsu site P : the ordered quantity is partially available at the branch associated with

your account TBA : the item is not instock and will have to be (or is currently being)

sourced from the factory.

FINALISING YOUR PURCHASE

Now that you have found and added all the part you want to buy to your shopping cart it’s time to check out.

Reviewing your shopping cart

1) Click the Shopping cart link in the menu on the left hand side of the screen to open your shopping cart

section on page 13.

Adding individual parts to your shopping cart

If you know the part numbers of the items you want to buy you can type them straight into your shopping cart.

1) Click the Shopping cart link to open the shopping cart

2) Click the green Add button

3) Type in the part number 4) Select the device that this part is for 5) Update the quantity

6) Click the save button

Repeat steps 2 to 6 for each additional part you want to buy.

Importing a list of parts to your shopping cart

Changing quantities of items in your shopping cart

1) Click on the item 2) Type a new quantity in the Quantity field

3) Click the save button

Changing the Sales Device Number

1) Expand the drop down of the item in the Sales Device number column 2) Select a new device

The drop down should show details of your devices including

Model Number

Serial Number Private Number Device Number Device Name Brand Number

Deleting items from your shopping cart

1) Click on the item you wish to delete 2) Click the delete button

Deleting multiple items from your shopping cart

1) Click on the checkbox of the item/s you wish to delete 2) Click the delete button

Deleting all items from your shopping cart

3) Click on the checkbox in the column header 4) Click the delete button

Checking out

1) Click the Checkout button

2) Enter your Purchase Order number in the Customer reference field 3) Select a delivery mode 4) Select a delivery address.

Note you will not be able to select a delivery address if there is only one setup in your account.

To create a new delivery address, see the Change shipping address section on page 23.

5) Click the Next button

The confirmation screen opens.

If you want to make changes to this order, click the Cancel button. If you want to make changes to the delivery address, click the Previous button. To finalise the purchase, click the Finish button.

Change shipping address

1) Click the Add button

2) Chose a Purpose for this address. Usually this will be Delivery. Make sure you uncheck the old purpose before clicking OK

3) Enter the postcode 4) Enter the street address 5) Confirm the City. The City menu contains all the town names that have

the postcode you entered in step 3) 6) Click the Save and close button

Review your orders

1) Click the Sales orders link on the left hand side of the screen

2) List of sales orders 3) Preview of selected sales order 4) Click the sales order number to open a sales order
