Hi kids! Welcome to Konnect! I'm so glad you're here! My name’s _____ and I'm your emcee! Guess what? We’re gonna talk about how we can all have GODLY CHARACTER! Say it with me: GODLY CHARACTER! Before we get started, my friend Nitro will explain some important rules!

It’s so great to be able to give to God! Now let’s learn today's Point. It says, Godly character comes from God’s Holy Spirit. Repeat it after me loud and proud: Godly character comes (pause) from God’s Holy Spirit. (pause) Super! I wonder who’ll discover the Point on the Konnect Station this week! Let’s watch and find out!

You know Who grows godly character inside of you? GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT! When you follow Jesus and take the time to get to know God, His Holy Spirit can grow SO much fruit in your life! Tell your neighbor, “FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT!” (Pause) Super! Let’s learn about worship!

When you follow Nitro's rules, you can help your team earn Dots! Wow! God showed Alissa how different life is when we have God’s Holy Spirit! Let’s practice our Verse about that. Say it with me. I’m so glad we have the ABCs of salvation to make us right with God! Everything we’ve been through means nothing without Him! Now it’s time to talk about what we can DO this week to let Jesus change us to be more like Him, and SHOW GODLY CHARACTER! Wow, we’ve got a good-looking crowd of kids here today! Welcome to Konnect! My name’s _____ and I’ll be your emcee! Are you a kid who shows GODLY CHARACTER? (pause) Say GODLY CHARACTER as loud as you can (pause) Awww … you sound like a bunch of old grandmas! Repeat after me: GODLY CHARACTER!! (pause) That was better! Keep that thought in your minds as we watch Nitro break down the rules!

I saw some generous Konnect kids! Here’s the Point we’re learning today: Godly character takes initiative. Now repeat it after me: Godly character (pause) takes initiatve. (pause) Di-no-mite! Now that the Point’s in your head, let’s see which Konnect crew member figures it out!

Wow! There are a lot of different ways each of you found to take initiative during this next week! Say, “TAKE INITIATIVE!” to your neighbor. (pause) You’ve been so tremendous — I’m awarding a few Dots to BOTH TEAMS! It sure is getting close! Watch this worship video with me so we can all know about worshipping God!

Now how many rules were there? Show me with your fingers! (pause) That’s right, four. When your team is being a great example of following all four rules, I’ll give you Dots. Clint learned that taking initiative doesn’t just help others out, it’s what God wants us to do! Today’s Verse talks about that. When I found out Jesus died for me to make me right with God, I was surprised He loves me so much and wants to listen to and answer every one of my prayers! Having Jesus in your heart fills you with God’s Holy Spirit and helps you to grow GODLY CHARACTER. Don’t try to do it all by yourself! Ask Jesus to save you and help you! You can talk more about the ABCs and TAKING INITIATIVE in your small groups while I give out some more Dots!

Woot! Woot! I’m ready for a FUN-tastic time with you kids! My name’s ____ and I’m your emcee! Buckle your seat belts (pretend to buckle your seatbelt) and hold on as we learn about how to have GODLY CHARACTER! Everybody say it with me: GODLY CHARACTER! Aw, c’mon … you can say it louder! (Put your hand to your ear and pause.) Wow! My ears are hurting now! Listen up as my best robotic friend, Nitro, shares the rules with all of us!

God gives me so much, and I’m so blessed I get to give some of it back to Him! Are you ready to say this week’s Point? Okay, let’s do it! Godly character is thankful. Repeat it after me! Godly character (pause) is thankful. (pause) Open your hearts to learn how important it is to show GODLY CHARACTER by being THANKFUL.

IT is IMPOSSIBLE to be THANKFUL if you don’t have GODLY CHARACTER! And the way to get godly character is to follow Jesus and to grow close to God by spending time with Him. That’s when you’ll REALLY be THANKFUL! I’m gonna give out Dots to the team who can say, “BE THANKFUL!” the loudest! Let me hear you Team ONE (pause) Okay, Team TWO! (pause) Oh, Team ___ was the loudest! (award Dots to loudest team) Now look on the screen to focus on worshipping God!

Great! You all listened so well to Nitro — and I can see you need a reward for your great choices! (point to the Dot Spot and put a Dot in) I’ll be trying to catch someone from your team doing great so I can add more Dots to your Dot Spots! Now I’ll pick two kids to pick up our offering while the rest of us watch the offering video to find out why we give money to God.

Ray found out that being thankful isn’t just for the fun, exciting times. It’s for EVERY TIME, even when bad things are happening. Let’s say our Bible verse about that together! 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Give thanks no matter what happens. God wants you to thank him because you believe in Christ Jesus. Great job! Now, let’s play a game with our small groups about being THANKFUL!

God gives us a lot of examples in the Bible about how to live for Him, but without Jesus, we won’t be able to do it. ADMIT your sin. BELIEVE Jesus died for you. CHOOSE to depend on God’s power to help you say, “No!” to sin! That’s when God can change you and give you the power to live a life that shows GODLY CHARACTER. Ask God to let His love show in you every time you are THANKFUL! Then they might want to be part of Jesus’ family, too!
