SKNCOP Mission Statement
MISSION
To stay committed in imparting quality pharmacy education to the future pharmacy
professionals by empowering them with knowledge, skills and timeless values, thereby
enabling them to provide better Healthcare solutions while upholding the safety and well-
being of the community above all other considerations.
VISION
To be a dynamic Pharma academic institution that strives for excellence in education,
research and extension at all times.
QUALITY POLICY
To maintain highest standard in education, extension and research through imparting
knowledge, inculcating skills and developing the right attitude. Contribute in creating a
sensitive and responsive society that follows ethical and moral values, that adopts logical
and rational approaches and that prospers in peace.
ESTABLISHMENT
Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy, Kondhwa (Bk.), Pune under the aegis of
Sinhgad Technical Education Society has been established in the year 2005-06 for the
conduct of B. Pharm. course with 60-intake capacity. It is the ninth year of inception of the
institute. The institute now offers PG course M. Pharm in Pharmaceutics (24), Pharm.
Chemistry (18), Pharmacology (18) & Quality Assurance (24). It also offers Ph. D.
programme in Pharmaceutical Sciences. It enjoys the approval of All India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), State Govt. of
Maharashtra, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), MS, Mumbai and B. Pharm course
has got permanent affiliation status by the University of Pune from the year 2012-13.

Academics
The course curriculum, internal examinations, annual examinations and other co-curricular
programes chalked on calendar year 2013 -2014 were conducted as per schedule. The theory
& practical classes of the F. Y. S.Y., T. Y. Final year B. Pharm & the M. Pharm courses were
conducted as per the circular, directives issued by the University of Pune.
Induction cum orientation programme
The induction cum orientation programme was held on 22nd July 2013. The chief guest for
the induction programme was Dr. M. D. Bhurande, President APTI & Principal, Siddhant
College of Pharmacy who spoke on “Positive Attitude ,Knowledge, Hard Work and
Communication Skill - Right Prescription for Success”. Dr. Atul Dadhe Chief Training
Officer, ICME Trust, Pune was the key speaker for the induction programme. He spoke on
entrepreneurship opportunities for pharmacy students in areas of medical coding, medical
auditing.
Certificates were awarded to 14 meritorious students who stood first, second & third in the
B.Pharm & M.Pharm Examinations 2013. Students who qualified in GPAT examination
were also felicitated.
The faculty members Mr. Prashant Sarda presented information to the freshly admitted
students on STES Campus. Mr. Nilesh Kulkarni addressed the students on sports activities,
student insurance schemes, NSS, & other schemes by University of Pune. Mr. M. P. Mahajan
spoke on alumni activities & Mrs. Preeti Lasure spoke on Extracurricular & Co – curricular
activities.
Students were also informed by Mrs. Meera Singh & by Mr. Rahul Takawale about the
examination pattern, course structure and the credit & grading system for M.Pharm course.
Sad Demise of F. Y. B. Pharm Student
Condolence meeting was held on 11/11/2013 in view of the accidental sad demise of
F. Y. B. Pharm student Mr. Mahesh Galegave on 27/10/2013 near Shrirampur railway
station. Mahesh has been very sincere and popular among students and staff of SKNCOP.

Celebrations Teachers Day Celebration
Teachers Day was celebrated on 5th Sept 2013; the B. Pharm classes were conducted by the
Final Year B. Pharm & M. Pharm Students.
The afternoon session began with the felicitation of the teachers by the students. Guiding
Speech was given by Principal Dr. S. D. Sawant on the occasion of the teacher’s day.
Pharmacist Day Celebration Distribution of Thank You Cards to Retail Pharmacist Pharmacist Day was celebrated at the institute on 25th Sept 2013. The celebration began by
distribution of 700 ‘Thank You’ Cards to various Retail Pharmacists all over the Pune city.
The Chief Guest for the function was Dr. Atmaram Pawar, Vice Principal & Head Pharm. D
Programme Poona College of Pharmacy. The other guests for the program were Mr. Vijay
Changediya, Owner Rohit Medicals, Hadapsar and Mr. Sanjay Bothikar, Director Cure
Medicines Pvt. Ltd. Certificate of Appreciation was given to Dr. Atmaram Pawar in
recognition of his significant contribution & services to the Community Pharmacy and
Pharmacy Practice.
National Pharmacy Week 2013 Celebrations
52nd National Pharmacy Week was celebrated by Indian Pharmaceutical Association and
Pharmacy Colleges of Pune District. This year the theme was “Pharmacists: A Healthcare
Professional”.
As a part of the celebration Group Discussion Competition was organized at Smt. Kashibai
Navale College of Pharmacy on 30th Nov 2013. Mr. Adwait Date (Regional Manager Global
Classroom Pvt. Ltd, Director & Training Consultant Swaraaj Consultancy, Founder &
Director Eureka Preschool Daycare & Activity Center) & Mrs. Renuka Nifadkar (Asst. Prof
Sinhgad Institute of Business Administration & Research) was invited as judge for the
competition. Students also participated in various events during the National Pharmacy
Week.

Bravura Pharma Tech Event Feb 4-6 2014 Pharmacy colleges under the aegis of STES organized a Pharma Tech Fest: Bravura 2014.
The idea to organize this Pharma Tech Fest: Bravura 2014 for Pharmacy students was
initiated by Vice President (Admin) Ms. Rachana Navale madam. Under her guidance,
motivation and help this event was organized from 4th Feb to 6th Feb 2014 at Sinhgad College
of Pharmacy Vadgaon.
The Pharma Tech Fest was inaugurated on 4th Feb at the hands of Mr. Shrenik Kole from
Lupin Pharmaceuticals with his key note address on Research, Innovation and Invention.
Welcome address was given by Dr. K. N. Gujar, Principal, Sinhgad College of Pharmacy,
Vadgaon. Dr. S. D. Sawant, Principal, Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy, Kondhwa
and Dr. S. B. Bhise, Principal, Sinhgad Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Lonavala gave
the Preamble of this event. First event was Out of Box- Innovative Advertisement Competition organized by STES’s
Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacy Narhe. The event was was judged by experts Mr. Avinash
Salunke, National Sales Manager, Nulife Pharmaceuticals and Ms. Priya Gupta, Founder
Director, Peepal Tree Advertising Agency.
Second event was Logic to Magic- Industrial Trouble Shooting Competition organized by
STES’s Sinhgad College of Pharmacy, Vadgaon. Mr. Bhavesh Patel from Evonik India Pvt.
Ltd. and Mr. Anand Patil from Lab India judged the event.
Third Event was Eureka- Research Project Competition This event was organized by STES’s
Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy, Kondhwa. Dr. Sanjay Boldhane, from Abbott
Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. and Dr. Santosh Patil from Advinus Therapeutic Ltd were judges for
this event.

The fourth event under Bravura 2014 was Simulation- 3D Model Making Competition. This
event was organized by STES’s Sinhgad Institute of Pharmaceutical Science,Lonavala. The
event was evaluated by Dr. Bikash Aich from Aavaniva Boitech and Prof. C. L. Bhingare
from MMM’s College of Pharmacy.
Valedictory function was scheduled on 6th Feb 2014. Chief Guest for the valedictory function
was Dr. Sanjay Boldhane, Associate Director- Innovative Drug Delivery Research from
Abbott Healthcare.

Voters Registration Camp was organized from 19/8/2013 to 25/8/2013 at the institute. The
program was coordinated by Mr. Nilesh Kulkarni with the help of NSS volunteers &
Parivartan NGO. A total of 55 voters (8 teachers & 47 students) applied for registration for
Voters ID under the voters registration drive initiated by Election Commission Office Pune.
Blood Donation Program
Blood Donation Program was organized on 20th Sept 2013 as a part of NSS activity. Total 120
students and one faculty member participated in the blood camp organized by the faculty
Mr. Nilesh Kulkarni and Kashibai Navale Medical College and General Hospital.

Blood Donation Program Joint Initiative by Sinhgad Technical Education Society and
R. M. Dhariwal Charitable Trust
Blood Donation Program was organized on 16th Feb 2014 at the campus jointly organized by
Sinhgad Technical Education Society and R. M. Dhariwal Charitable Trust. Total of 1203
blood bags were donated from Kondhwa campus.
NSS Camp
NSS Camp was organized under the NSS scheme by STES’s Smt. Kashibai Navale College of
Pharmacy, Kondhwa at Bhiwri, Taluka Purandar District Pune from 17/2/2014 to 23/2/2014.
Various activities such as career guidance to school students, creating awareness amongst
the villagers about sanitation and hygiene, sanitation and maintenance of crematorium,
street plays to fight against female foeticide were conducted during the NSS camp.
The programme was concluded with the address of S. N. Navale Sir Vice President STES
who addressed the students on teamwork, self independence and importance of social
work. Principal Dr. S. D. Sawant in his closing remarks emphasized on personality
development of the students.
The programme was coordinated by faculty member Dr. Nilesh Kulkarni. Mrs. Kalpana
Katke village Sarpanch and Gramsevak Mr. Mahendra Bengare & other villagers assisted
for this camp.
Alumni Meet
Fifth SKNCOP Alumni meet was held on 15th Feb 2014. The function comprised of
registration & interaction of alumni, fun games musical chair and tambola followed by prize
distribution and sumptuous dinner.
Farewell
Farewell Programme for final year students was organized on 29th March 2014 at the
seminar hall of the college. Principal Dr. S. D. Sawant guided the students on this occasion.
Pharmacists Oath was taken by all final Year students. All Final year students were
felicitated with memento. Ms. Sanjana Raul was awarded as the Best Outgoing Student.
