Toowoomba is set to make history as the first regional host of a Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) fixture in Queensland and only the second regional centre to host the WNCL in Australia!! Toowoomba Cricket, Queensland Cricket and Cricket Australia are excited about the prospects of promoting women’s cricket in the region and with the current Queensland and Australian captain, Jodie Fields, being a proud Toowoomba local there’s no better fit!! Toowoomba’s Heritage Oval will be the venue for this historic clash between the Konica Minolta Queensland Fire and the Western Fury. There will be plenty of exciting cricket and community activities on offer with the following event schedule: Friday October 25 10am – 12pm Konica Minolta Qld Fire player visits to local schools and businesses 2pm – 5pm WT20 Match – Heritage Oval Saturday October 26 10am – 5pm One Day Match – Heritage Oval Sunday October 27 10am – 1pm WT20 Match – Heritage Oval Toowoomba Cricket would like to offer you the opportunity to be part of the action as an event sponsor.
