Kooiman Pile Guides, are already being used for decades on pontoons in the Rotterdam port area and beyond. Kooiman Pile Guides reduce the movement of the pontoon. Small waves are neutralized and movements by larger waves and/or mooring vessels are limited and damped more quickly. The pontoon is quiet, no banging and no sound. The Pile Guide is robust, low maintenance and quick to open.

KOOIMAN PILE GUIDES

Kooiman Pile Guide consists of a well-protected and durable construction containing synthetic guiding blocks. Two tensioning buffer blocks press the guide, with spring loaded tension, against the pile. Movement against the pile is thus restrained. This significantly increases the comfort on the pontoon.

Kooiman Pile Guides are suitable for most common pile diameters from ø 508 mm up to ø 1420 mm. The latter is often used for the mooring of, among others, bunker stations. Some pile guides we keep in stock. Others can be supplied fast.

The adjustable cushioning pile guides are a patented product of Kooiman Port Facilities, formerly Van Eijk. The pile guides are standardized but can be tailor made, like any Kooiman Marine Group product, to customer schedules and requirements

Products of Kooiman Port Facilities can be found in the Rotterdam port area and far beyond. Examples are; pontoons, access bridges, mooring buoys, floating beacons, etc.
