The State of Kansas is self-insured. Judges are covered by the Kansas Tort Claims Act, K.S.A. 75-6101, and amendments thereto. As with any state employee, the Kansas Attorney General's Office represents judges if they are sued. Because this office maintains no records in response to your inquiry, your request is denied.
