KORN HYNES HELPS BRANDS EXPRESS THEMSELVES Your brand is more than goodwill on your company’s balance sheet. It is a tangible asset that reflects the value over time of relationships your consumers form with your products and services.

The ability to activate and grow relationships is the core competency of an advertising agency. Every new assignment, whether a global message sent to a dozen international markets or a local outreach to customers around the corner, brings new opportunities to evolve a brand and create value.

Brands are built by turning insights and observations into real work. Our innovative process looks to the future by listening to clients and to the marketplace. We see brands not as a series of discrete interactions, but as an holistic experience that evolves with each project. In the end, your brand is not how you talk, it’s how you connect.

Hemostatic Clipping

Hemoclips have been used to treat a variety of upper GI bleeding conditions including: peptic ulcers, Mallory-Weiss tears, Dieulafoy lesions, gastric angiectasias, and gastric tumors following polypectomy, sphincterotomy, and biopsy. Hemoclips have been used to treat a variety of lower GI bleeding conditions including: diverticula, hemorroids, and solitary rectal ulcers following polypectomy and biopsy.1

In the past few years, studies have been published relating to the safety and effectiveness of using clips to treat GI bleeding. According to those studies, clips may not only provide a lower rebleeding rate, but also may cause less tissue reaction, potentially reducing the risk of tissue necrosis and perforation as compared to injection and thermal treatments.2

CITI CAB CONFERENCES

Overview Citi’s Annual CAB (Client Advisory Board) conferences bring together Treasurers from many of the world’s largest multinational corporations and organizations. The conference serves as a knowledge-sharing symposium and groupthink event. Presentations feature speakers from prestigious educational institutions from around the globe including INSEAD and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as global heads of Citi’s Treasury and Trade Solutions division.

Challenge Through these conferences, Citi needs to communicate to its largest customers its dedication to innovation, customization and advisory services and show how their products and services impact and improve global treasury operations.

Solution For the past five years, Korn Hynes has been charged with:

– creation of the conference theme

– creation, design, development and implementation of all print and electronic communications with prospective attendees

– creation, design, development and implementation of all supporting on-site marketing materials including video productions, PowerPoint presentations, custom app, web development and signage

– creation, design and development of promotional concepts

HIGHLIGHTED PROJECT CITI CAB CONFERENCE, LONDON - BLUEPRINT FOR SUCCESSKorn Hynes created Citi’s conference theme, Blueprint for Success.

The idea came from Citi’s desire to communicate that it customizes or “builds” treasury solutions to satisfy the needs of the largest and most sophisticated clients.

Korn Hynes developed a visual articulation of this theme by creating fictional blueprints of iconic global structures including London’s Tower Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, the Great Sphinx and the Great Wall of China. Korn Hynes responsibilities included theme concept, design, original artwork, copywriting and production (electronic and traditional).

HIGHLIGHTED PROJECT CITI CAB CONFERENCE, LONDON - PARTNERING FOR SUCCESSKorn Hynes created Citi’s conference theme, Partnering for Success, to communicate the important role partnership plays in success. The conference theme emphasized that Citi’s partnership with their clients can be a contributing factor to their short and long term success.

Korn Hynes created a concept that focused on famous partnerships throughout history and how those partnerships were instrumental in the success of their goals.

Highlighted partnerships included Rodgers and Hammerstein, The Wright Brothers and famous partnerships in banking including Aristotle Onassis and National City Bank.

Korn Hynes responsibilities included theme concept, design, original artwork, copywriting and production (electronic and traditional).

PRODUCT LAUNCH CITIDIRECT BE® MOBILE PLATFORMOverview Citi’s powerful BE Mobile Platform for business allows global financial transactions to be done from any Smartphone, anytime and anywhere – in real time. It is a part of the CitiDirect BE suite of banking services.

Challenge Until recently, CitiDirect BE, a global state-of-the-art banking platform, was only able to be enjoyed by those using desktop computers. The launch of CitiDirect BE Mobile changed that. The objective of the campaign was to introduce the new product to those presently using the desktop-only software and encourage them to begin using the mobile version. Challenges to be overcome included security, accessibility and ease of use.

Solution Korn Hynes developed a global email campaign and informational collateral (electronic and traditional) in six languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, traditional Chinese and simple Chinese. Through its research, Korn Hynes determined that the use of an infographic was the most effective way of communicating the metrics of the product. Also, using the graphic of the mobile interface illustrated the ease of using the software.

Korn Hynes responsibilities included concept, design, original artwork, copywriting, translation services and production (electronic and traditional).

RESULT The campaign resulted in:

– over 100% growth in active clients/users

– over 700% in transaction volume

– over 300% in transaction value

– Transaction value attributed to the campaign globally was $1.3 billion.

HUNTERDON HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION PUBLICATIONOverview Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation is the fund-raising arm of Hunterdon Medical Center, a 178-bed non-profit community hospital located in Raritan Township, New Jersey. As a non-profit hospital, Hunterdon Medical Center depends on financial support from the community in order to remain a viable choice for patients in the highly competitive healthcare environment – an environment that demands costly cutting-edge medical technology, top-quality doctors, etc.

Objective Korn Hynes is the Agency of Record for the Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation. As such, the Agency recommended that the Foundation produce and distribute a publication with a twofold purpose. The first was to inform the community about what was happening at the Medical Center and the Foundation. The second was to use the publications as a fund-raising vehicle.

Challenge For many years, the Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation raised funds through traditional means such as golf outings, Annual Fund events, etc. This was the first time the Foundation used a high profile creative vehicle to boost its fund raising numbers. The question was whether the ROI would justify the expense of producing and distributing the magazine.

Solution Korn Hynes created a quarterly publication using a “consumer magazine” design model to distinguish it from other healthcare publications. The magazine includes patient stories, doctor profiles, donor tributes and general news articles relating to the hospital, Foundation and community.

Korn Hynes’ responsibilities include publication name (VitalSigns), logo design, art direction, photography, original artwork, interviews, copywriting, production (electronic and traditional), printing and mailing (10K).

RESULT 15% increase in donations to the Foundation after the distribution of the initial issue of the magazine.

t Hunterdon Healthcare’s new Integrative Medicine Program, patients can achieve enhanced states of wellness through the finest evidence-based integrative medicine treatments.

Nationally, the use of integrative medicine – which is defined as complementary medicine therapies such as yoga, massage, and acupuncture delivered in tandem with conventional medicine – is on the rise. Early evidence even suggests that integrative medicine can improve outcomes and lower the cost of care for some patients. Flemington resident Linda von Thaden experienced such life-changing benefits through integrative medicine that she was inspired to donate $1 million to Hunterdon Healthcare to establish a center devoted to it. After a year of planning, Hunterdon Healthcare formally launched its Integrative Medicine Program in April 2014, with locations in Flemington and Lambertville. Services include: • CommunityandPrivateAcupunctureappointments • Massagetherapy • Mindfulness-basedstressreductionclasses • Reiki • Nutritioncounseling • Herbalmedicineconsultations • Yoga • TaiChi • Qigong

Future plans are underway for further expansion of the program in Flemington and other satellite sites throughout the region. Chris Sickels, Executive Vice President of the Foundation, says that over the next three to four years, Hunterdon Healthcare needs to continue to raise significant funding from community members to fully develop the program.“We need local residents and patients who are passionate about integrative medicine to step up and follow the stellar philanthropic example set by Mrs. von Thaden,” Sickels says. “We hope that everyone in the area who has ever benefited from integrative medicine will consider making a donation. Without the weight of the community behind it, this program cannot succeed.”Help grow Hunterdon Healthcare’s new Integrative Medicine Program by making a donation today. To donate, please contact Jennifer Parratt at 908.788.6585 or visit foundation.hunterdonhealthcare.org.

BEDERSON LLP Overview Bederson is a full-service regional accounting firm established in 1937.

It has two New Jersey offices from which it services thousands of clients in over 50 industries – providing accounting, tax and business advisory services to small, privately held businesses, middle market companies and individuals. The firm’s culture is centered around old-fashion values and world-class service.

Objective Bederson needed a campaign concept with “legs.” The concept needed to be flexible enough to accommodate a number of service offerings and industries. The main objective was to give Bederson a “voice.”

Challenge The financial services industry is crowded and competitive, especially in the New York tri-state area. In order for a company to cut through the din of competitors’ messages, it needs a different and compelling message. Its voice needs to be professional, thoughtful, creative and reflective of the company’s culture.

Solution Korn Hynes created a campaign that used a perception vs. reality concept. The campaign pointed out that while a business might be perceived as successful and well run, the reality may be quite different. Bederson can provide financial and operational advice and guidance to close gaps that may be barriers to profitability and growth.

Korn Hynes responsibilies included concept, art direction, copywriting and media strategy and placement (print and web).

RESULT 20% increase in inquiries and the largest growth rate in 10 years.

COVERYS Overview Coverys is one of the largest medical professional liability insurance providers in the country. It is responsible for insuring over 32,000 physicians, dentists, and allied healthcare providers, as well as more than 500 hospitals, health centers and clinics from coast to coast. Coverys has consistently been included in the Ward’s 50 for the past five years.

Objective As the Agency of Record for Coverys, Korn Hynes was charged with creating an awareness campaign designed to engage new customers and reinforce the company’s relationships with existing customers.

Challenge A recent name change was complicating Coverys’ communication efforts. For many years, the company was known as ProMutual and the change to Coverys was not well received.

Solution In order to engage people in the Coverys name, Korn Hynes produced a campaign that utilized a mnemonic device. To engage the reader and help name retention, the Coverys name was embedded in a headline highlighting the company’s products and services. The campaign appeared in the nation’s largest medical and insurance trade publications.

Korn Hynes’ responsibilities included concept, art direction, copywriting, photography and media strategy and placement.

RESULT In focus groups initiated after the launch of the campaign:

– 86% of participants remembered seeing the campaign and remembered the Coverys name.

– A majority of the focus group participants had a favorable impression of both the campaign and the company.
