DEPUTY’S REPORT by Mel Fenton

Kororo Public School is certainly shaping up to be a busy place as we approach the final weeks of Term 4. This week and next week our Year 2 students and teachers are making their way to the Coffs Harbour Memorial Pool for the annual Intensive Swimming Scheme. Throughout this program the teachers always see a fantastic amount of growth not only in swimming skills but also self-help skills and self-confidence. This Friday 29th November is a mufti day for all students. The theme this term is Christmas and students are asked to pay a gold coin to raise money for the Smith Family Bushfire Appeal. It is also the last day for Scripture and Ethics that day and our Scripture teachers will be presenting a special concert for our scripture students. We wish to thank our volunteer Scripture and Ethics teachers for their dedication and commitment to Kororo PS students throughout 2019. Tuesday December 10th is our Annual K-6 Presentation Day starting at 10.00am under the COLA. This is a formal ceremony where we will recognise the outstanding achievements of our students in all areas of school life. All Kororo families are welcome to attend. Following this our Carols by KororoLight event will be held in the evening from 5.30pm. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket or camping chairs and some food to share and join in with the carols. We are currently undertaking school planning for 2020. If your family is relocating and your child will be unable to attend Kororo next year can you please call the school office and let them know on 6653 6201.

SCHOOL BANKING

This Friday, 29th November will be the last day to order prizes through School Banking.

Claim forms were included in every bank book last Friday. Extra forms can be obtained from the School Office.

Please note - there are no Yeti Fluffy Notebooks left. If you ordered one last week you will have to choose another prize.

RMS UPDATE The RMS will be holding an information evening at our school on THURSDAY, 28th NOVEMBER from 6pm - 7pm in the hall. This meeting has been called just for the Kororo School community as they will be talking specifically about the bus stop interchange. There will be a display board with designs, artists impression and the route map with information on the overall bypass project. If you wish to attend, please call the school office to let us know. Thank you
