He came to establish practical spirituality. In the form of the way of living, he imbibed it to masses. Spirituality is complicated hard to follow in daily life. He modified it and did the Hercules task to make it to individual. Through his deeds throughout life he taught us how spirituality can elevate us free from stress. Cheerful and happy life can be lived with very small requirement.

Here few incidences of his life are given through which he teaches us the practical spirituality.

After India got freedom, Indian government started giving facilities to freedom fighters through money, medals, recognition, travel facilities etc. After longtime of freedom in 1986, government officials realize their mistake. District level officer came with the proposal of pension and other services. The name of Shriram ‘Matta’ as a freedom fighter, martial nonviolence protester was in the records of Agara District. Pujya Gurudev had not tried for above from his side. When the officers apologized for delayed and requested to accept the pension, Gurudev said, “ As a sign of national dignity, I keep the medal but I never had expectation of any facilities and never will. Contribution to the freedom fight was mine. Why should my vanshajo get benefit? My vanshajo are crores of Pragyaparijan. You give this pension to national fix reservoir.”

The officer was amazed by this selfless saint, tapasvi, fighter. He followed the advice and returned. Selfless was Gurudev’s greatest punji. He used to tell that “ ..”

The message of spirituality, can be lived and shown through one’s own life. Gurudev below shows us how a true Brahmin practically lives on principles of practical spirituality.

In today’s world Gurudev’s own life was Mahayagya. At the time of establishments of Yug Nirman Yojana mission, Gurudev has donated all his money and Mataji’s all jewelry, for the establishment of Gayatri Tapobhumi. Later he given his all his father’s propertites 1000 acor land, for the development of inter college. Whatever can be said of his own properties, he donated everything for betterment of society. When he left his physical body, he owned only two ruppes worth dot pen and one spectacle.

Pujyavar has discovered the equations of Sadhana – and established it in life. He showed to others that sadhana needs to be for 24 hours long. Gayatri Sadhana, Pachkosh sadhana, three body awaken

sadhana were very complicated and occult to understand. He explained it in very simple language through his three thousand two hundred books and thousands of lectures.

IN the current time, spiritual practices were full of misconceptions. Gurudev gave purified spirituality. (Parishkrit Adhyatma). He explained Sadhan have three fold path – Upasana (), Sadhana, Aradhana.

One example of equation he gave - Sadhana are not successful until four management (senses, money, thought, time) are followed. Looking simple, but given simple slogan if followed perfectly, can make human divine.

His whole life was a message of these equations. He created equations of Sadhana to change Human nature through its root at the level of sub consciousness. These were very effective and thoroughly researched before implications.

Gurudev used to say during his conversation’ “I have not lived my life in the dogmas and prejudices. I spent my life in experimenting and implementing the secrets of spirituality.” (Reference: Yug gita- Disclosures HH Dr Pranav Pandya)

He was a science intelligent. Lacking prior knowledge of science, he related deep truth of science with spirituality. He was the maker of scientific spirituality.

Param Pujya Gurudev and Maharshi Patanjali have amazing similarities. In the wrorld of spirituality, presence of both are very rare. Both are on peanacle of spirituality still are scientists. Both do intense (gahare) scientific experiments, but their laboratories are not in physical world but in world of consciousness (Chetana). They are scientists of Antarjagat and hence it is rare and vilakshan. The reason is whoever studies in antaschetana almost become Poet and whoever studies outer world becomes scientists. But here the law has been tilted (ulat-pulat). Actually the inner peace of Anterjagat is so bhavya that by nature consciousness of human becomes in rythm of it. Hence poem and Chand comes out (prasfutit).

It is hard and rare to analyse the consciousworld as scientists....

Over and above this, Gurudeva vehemently opposed blind beliefs, vile traditions,fundamentalism, dowry, etc. He encouraged an attitude of equality towards all religions. Healways spoke of one religion, one action and one goal. He said that there should be only oneform of religion in the entire world. Further he spoke of the importance of looking upon the entireworld as our Mother (Vishwamata). He designed programs for upliftment of women andhealthcare for all. He inspired all his followers to patiently endure all obstacles which he hadpredicted, that would come their way between the years 1985-2000 A.D. He further predictedthat after the year 2000 A.D. slowly but surely an atmosphere of sacredness will envelope theentire world.

He was Sanskriti Purush. Gayatri, Yagya and Sanskar were trioty he saved. He spread Indian Culture to masses. In the world of westernized, today if Indian cultured had survived is only because of Gayatri Pariwar’s founder Param Pujya Gurudev. After political freedom of India in 1947, India could have lost its human cultural identity if cultural movement not provided by Gurudev in the form of Gayatri Yagya.

Due to Andhakar Yug, by the time of 1900 AD, most of Sanskars were extinct except 2-3 i.e. Marriage Sanskar, Antyeshthi (Death rituals). He revided important 16 Sanskars of Vedic culture which are designed for elevation of human consciousness. Janmadivas sanskar, Yagyopavit, Poosvan sanskars and all are now actively performed by Gayatri Pariwar though out whole world.

He lived the philosophy of Yagya through his life and expanded Yagya Sanskriti. He not only motivated people to live through the philosophy of yagya but also did presented the vast swaroop of Yagya to society. This vast yagyas once conducted in ancient time, he conducted left an impact on society’s mind. Yagya become identity of him and Gayatri Pariwar.

In 1953 – Sahanstrashu Yagya – 1.25 crore Gayatri Jap, 1.25 lakhs Ahuti and 1.25 lakhs fasting were performed to initiate the divine vibrations through thousands of particiapands throughout country.

1955 - From Vasant Panchami to 15 months long Gayatri Mahayagya including – revival of 10 different Yagyna procedure i.e 4 ved Parayan Yagya, Mahamrityunjay yagya, Rudra Yagya, etc - This was spiritual experiment for the benefit of world. In his word, “The organizer and benefit of Yagya is not one person”.

1958 – 1008 Kundi Yagya was conducted. Along with lakhs of people, divine powers and Himalayan Rishi parlament also came to this Yagya. Gayatri Pariwar later days conducted more vast and bif yagya progrmans but this one was very special. This Yagya wa the final ceremony of 24 year long penance he conducted. The foundation of Gayatri Pariwar was one of outcome of this Yagya. Yagya named as Bhrahmastra – People having knowledge in spiritual world can understand the importance of this yagya was aimed to initiate return of Golden era.

Later on five such 1008 Kundi Yagya was conducted in other areas of India. 5 Kundi, 9, 24 Kundi Gayatri Yagya are being conducted in whole world continuously in whole world.

34 thousand and eight Kundi Gayatri Yagya – ashwamech was a milestone in awakening of human consciousness.

Through all these Yagya he purified the earth physical and subtle environment. Yagya purifies not only environment but also protects the environment from radiation. Studies have been published by BVRI, India. It also explains why environment in India has less radiation level compared to that of world’s other countries. This is the reason of low ratio of handicapped child in India. Recently, Japan embassy understood the importance of Gayatri and Yagya and asked Gayatri Pariwar to perform Yagya to subside the effect of radiation due to Japan Tsunami on March 2011.

[What is Sanskars. In the explanation of Shabar Muni’s translation (bhashya) Gurudev wrote,” Sanskar is the process once done on any individual or material, gives appropriate position or impact on. Each individual having Sanskar’s performed proves its existence in true way. Sanskar is spiritual treatment

helps human consciousness to elevate. These kind spiritual treatment were developed by indian rishis and since thousands of years residents of India took benefit of it.

After each trip to Himalaya every 10 years, Gurudev started some revolutionary steps. On return of his Himalaya trip in 1971, he revived Rishi Tradition. Revival of Rishi tradition is very important and required solution for world problems(?). He revived all the traditions and reformed them as per need of time.

In the current time, the sadhanas described in vedic literature are nearly impossible to follow as it is. Pujya Gurudev discovered new ways of Sadhanas which can be implied in daily life by any person. Discovering new laws of spiritual practices are not important until it gives the benefit. The right of creating new constitution is defined in spiritual world. This can be understood through following incidence of Gurudev’s life.

After visiting Kamakshi temple, Gurudev went to visit Kanchi Matt. Acharya Swami Chandrashekhar Saraswati was head of mat. Acharya Saraswati was a part of system that governs awakening of indian

spirituality from Himalaya. They greeted eachother. Conversation lead to the topic of important of cast tradition and spiritual practices in ancient time and current misconception of same.

Acharchya Saraswati said,” new constitution can be created and traditions can be rectified or researched but rights are needed. Those rights can only be obtained through Rishi Sattas.” Acharya Saraswati continued with example to support, “Governer makes rules in government as those are capable of forcing people to follow. Now time has come for rectification and revival of spiritual practices and rishi traditions. Rishi satta has decided the ways and looking for appropriate uttardhikri Time ifself will reveal him” Gurudev returned to Mathura after the visit. Sadhana satra at Mathura Tapobhumi, Pranpratyavartan sadhana at shantikunj, Deep yagya, revival of rishi tradition at Shantikunj by Gurudev all are what time is saying.

H.H. Revered Shri Shriram Sharma Acharya is the confluence of the radiance of all Rishis ofancient India and hence has been given the title Yugadevata and Yuga Rishi.1) As a symbol of Lord Parshuram’s axe, Gurudeva ushered in a creative revolutionwith the creation of a new era. This was aided by his mighty pen and speeches from Shantikunj(Haridwar, India)2) Bhagirath in ancient times had manifested the river Ganges on earth via intenseausterities. Similarly our Gurudeva manifested the Ganges of divine wisdom (Gayatri) viaausterities of 24 Purashcharanas of 24 lakh Gayatri Mantra chanting.3) In ancient times Charak had discovered many forest herbs that bestowed goodhealth and a new lease of life. This task is at present being executed in Shantikunj, so as torejuvenate our ancient medical science called Ayurveda.4) Maharshi Vyas had written many Puranas (Indian Mythology) with Lord Ganesha’sblessings. Similarly Gurudeva Shriram Sharma too published the 4 Vedas, 108 Upanishads,Darshans, Smritis, Geeta, Prajna Purana in 18 volumes alongwith other books on socialrevolution at the world level.5) Maharshi Patanjali had given us the 8-fold method of Yoga called Asthangyoga.Today at Shantikunj, modern doctors are conducting research on Yoga and encouraging everyone to practise the same.

6) Yajnavalkya was well-known for conducting Yajnas (fire sacrifices).Brahmavarchas Research Centre, founded by Gurudeva, uses forest herbs for Yajnas and this inturn cures bodily / mental illnesses, overcomes mental taints, raises our vital force (for Kundaliniawakening) and balances our atmosphere by warding off pollution.7) Vishwamitra who is the seer of the Gayatri Mantra had created a new universe.Gayatri Teerth, Shantikunj has been built on that very land where Vishwamitraji had realized AdiShakti (Primordial Divine Power). This land with subtle pious qualities, is gaining more radiancebecause of Japa, worship and Yajnas executed by thousands of people over here. Research isbeing conducted on sound power and Savitri Science.8) Jamadagni Rishi in the past founded a Gurukul (school), where both children andsenior citizens were given apt education. Today at Shantikunj devotees are trained to serve worldhumanity. Families are inspired to imbibe sacred ideals in life.9) Naradji spiritually awakened world humanity by traveling all over the world.

Shantikunja’s training institute has trained many devotees who move in the world and spread themessage of our revered Gurudeva.10) Vashishtha was an adept both in the fields of spirituality and politics. GurudevaShriram Sharma fought for India’s independence between the years 1930-1947 A.D. Later viabooks based on revolutionary thinking, he indirectly tried complementing religion and goodgovernance.11) Adi Shankaracharya had established 4 Mathas (hermitages) in 4 corners of India.Under Shantikunja’s guidance, apart from 4,000 Pragna Peethas, Shaktipeethas and 24,000 selfstudycenters were established.

12) Rishi Pipplad studied and controlled his mind by eating fruits and leaves. OurGurudeva partook meals of jowar roti (Indian bread) and buttermilk for 24 long years. Till the dayhe died he ate only boiled cereals and vegetables.13) Kanad an heir of Atharveda tradition put forth the atomic theory and theory ofscientific spirituality. At Brahmavarchas Institute, spirituality is being researched in a scientificmanner.14) Aaryabhatta studied the effect of the planets of the solar system on earth and gavecertain mathematical principles for the same. In Shantikunja, astrological research studies arebeing conducted.15) Thousands of Bhikshus (mendicants) traveled all over the world to spread LordBudha’s message. Similarly thousands of initiated disciples of Shantikunja are spreading themessage of divine culture in all corners of the world.16) Polar center- Himalays – Gayatri Teerth – A divine atmosphere has been createdover here due to the subtle presence of Rishis and demi-gods. Spiritual seekers and members ofGayatri Parivar should spend some time at least once a year at Shantikunja which as a spiritualcultured sanatorium. Thus they can benefit from its sacred vibrations.

In the year 1979 he started establishing Gayatri Shaktipeethas and Prajna Peethas in theentire world. And in the year 1982 – 1985 he established more than 6000 small / big serviceoriented centers so as to spiritually awaken world humanity.

“Idam Na Mam” – (This is yours (supreme consciousness in form of society), not mine) – was symbol of his life. He manifested the philosophy of Yagya – sacrifice of own ego for the betterment of society through his own life. Thousands came to him for solutions of their life problems. He solved their problem with his penance and love and also used to give them the gift of divine life- How this divine human life can be lived for only for own but also for benefit of society.

He created a organization in the form of Gayatri Pariwar. Today it has gron to 12 crore people. On what bases he created this big organization is very important to understand him. He believed each of his disciple of his own organ part of body and gave that much love to each. One eye for love and other eye for development.

One day a well wisher suggested mataji that orange juice would be better for Gurudev who had a fever. While busy with his work in fevered condition, Gurudev asked for a glass of water and continued concentrating on his work. Mataji kept a glass of juice instead of water. After drinking couple of sip, he realized whatever he drank not water. He felt something burning in his stomach. He felt suffocation and spew the juice through forceful vomiting. On questioning he came to know that it was orance juice and said, “The day, when I will be able to provide ‘this’ to all of my desciples and to whole world, I will definitely drink this. Now I feel it as a poison, as a luxury.”

Gurudev declared his ____ from Mathura on 1971 to Haridwar and Himalaya. Before his permanent leave, five days camp (Shivir) was organized at Gayatri Tapobhumi Mathura for a year long. He used to trip few days outside for programs but whenever he was there, the environment of tapobhumi was some special. Everyday his lectures were given. ON each fifth day of camp, he used to deliver farewell lecture. During the lecture, everybody with full concentration were listening his Amritvani and felt it coming from his crying heart. He was saying, “You will leave in few hours. Tapobhumi will be lonely. What will I answer to Tapobhumi, when it will ask me where are those, to meet them you used to come from your trips.” He was crying, listeners were crying too. Then he controlled himself somehow and said, “The stream of these tears will nurture the organization. Tears of sympathy will keep it green-full-fledged.” Every farewell of his leave was such full of compassion. Let us have glimpse at article he wrote in column ‘Apano se Apani Baath’ in Akhand jyoti 1970 magazine issue – “Love, love, and love is our Mantra. Atmiyata, Mamta, Sneh, and Shraddha, is our Upasana. We will not only teach our thoughts but also give immense love to them. Complete love to Parijans (members), is our gift for Parijans.” Truly, this love has kept firm foundation of Gayatri Pariwar. Whoever wants to learn the essence of creating an organization, has to understand the life of founder of Gayatri Pariwar.

When we look at the life schedule of Parampujya Gurudev, we see how the principle of ‘ vasudhaiv kutumbaam’ was imbibed in him.

Vedmurti Tapnishth Yuga Rishi Shri Shriram Sharma Acharyaji. He declared that by the end of2000 A.D. he will convert the world into a “Prajna Yuga” via his brilliant divine intellect.Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharyaji’s soul burnt with pain. He had passed many nights cryingaloud. Many a times he cried like a small child. Who is aware of all this? People think he was agreat saint and seer. Some think him to be a world leader, prolific writer and scholar. But who has the capacity to open his bosom and note its contents? Only if someone could havewitnessed it, he would have seen a soul full of painful anguish for world human civilization. In thissmall human body dwelled a gigantic soul full of pain on seeing the lowly lives of world humanity.

A religious gathering was organized which was attended by great Pandits, scholars and VedicAcharyas of India. Our revered Gurudeva (Shrirama Sharma) too was invited. India’s thenPresident, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan eulogoized revered Shriram Sharma Acharyaji for veryskillfully laying down the true essence of spirituality as mentioned in the 4 Vedas, Upanishads,Puranas, scriptures and all precepts of various religions. Hence Dr. Radhakrishnan gave ourrevered Gurudeva the title “Veda incarnate and great Yogi.”
