ASSEMBLY
(HALLOWEEN)
5 E Halloween is a festival in which people start dressing up as
ghosts believing it will rid them of evil spirits.
On 1st October 2019, students of Grade 5E presented a class
assembly on “Halloween” in the school A.V.Hall.
The children were drenched in Halloween fever. The assembly
started by remembering the almighty. It was followed by a skit.
It depicted the significance and the importance of the festival.
The students also explained it’s origin, focused on the food and
costumes at the time of Halloween.
The props, costumes and all the decoration truly took us in the
world of Halloween. The assembly also related the importance
and similarity of this festival with that of Indian ”Shraadh”
month.
The assembly came to an end with a book review on “Harry
Potter”. The Principal and the Section Incharge appreciated all
the students. The parents were spell bound by the amazing
performance of the students.

INTERACTIVE
SESSION WITH
PEARSON TEAM
4&5 Teaching is one profession which requires constant learning,
reflection and analysis of ones own methods to ensure a
balanced pedagogy which fufils every child’s needs. In n order to
achieve this goal, Kothari International School Noida uses a
number of strategies, and to implement one of such strategies
Pearson Education plays an imperative role by mapping the
communication and logical reasoning skills of students and
quantifying it. Thus, providing a chance to develop and
implement learning strategies and goals for each student.
On 3rd October 2019, during a session based on the
aforementioned objectives, a team from Pearson Education and
faculty of grade 4&5, along with section head Ms. Priyanka
Chitravanshi and Principal Ms. Manju Gupta, brainstormed ideas
and methods to make this process even more effective.
10th October 2019
NUKKAD NATAK 4&5 The students of Grades 4 and 5 of Kothari International School,
Noida, in their endeavour to support community development
and promote social awareness, presented a Street Play in the
School A.V Hall on 10th October, 2019. Nukkad Natak is a drama
performed on streets to create social awareness about many
burning topics like save water, girls’ education and child labour.
With a view to raise awareness about the social issues
mentioned above, a Nukkad Natak was staged. Four street plays
on ‘child labour’, ‘save water, ‘cleanliness and hygiene’ and
‘education for all’ were enacted by students of grades 4 and 5.
The purpose of the activity was fulfilled as the participants were
successful in making the audience aware of the need to
eradicate child labour and save the environment from the
clutches of the demon called pollution. The young actors were
lauded for leaving an indelible mark on the minds of the
audience through their flawless performance.
The programme concluded with a classical dance performance.
The audience was spellbound to see such talent emerging on the
stage. The results were announced by our esteemed judges Ms.
Aarti and Ms. Ruma. Nischay House was Outstanding, Shakti
stood Excellent, Siddhant House and Vishwas House shared the
Very Good Category.
The principal appreciated the efforts of the students and truly
loved the concept and performance of the students.

अतंर्सदन नुक्कड नाटक
प्रततयोगिता
चौथी व पााँचवी ं
ददनांक 10.10.2019 को ववद्यालय में कक्षा चौथी व पााँचवीं के ववद्यागथसयों के ललए अतंर्सदन नुक्कड नाटक प्रततयोगिता का आयोजन ककया िया|दीप प्रज्जज्जवलन के र्ाथ कायसक्रम का आरंभ ककया िया। ववद्यालय के चारों र्दनों (तनश्चय, शक्ति, लर्द्ांत और ववश्वार्) के ववद्यागथसयों ने इर्में भाि ललया| प्रत्येक र्दन र्े बीर्-बीर् छात्रों का चयन कर चार दल तैयार ककए िए थे | इर् नुक्कड नाटक के द्वारा बच्चों ने र्ामाज के र्मर्ामतयक र्मस्याओं को बखबूी प्रस्तुत ककया। चाहे वो ‘बाल मजदरूी” हो या “स्वच्छता अलभयान’ या ‘जल है तो कल है” या किर “र्वस लशक्षा अलभयान”। उपस्स्थत र्भी अलभभावक, दशसकों व प्रततभागियों ने अत्यगिक उत्र्ाह व हर्स के र्ाथ र्ंपूर्स कायसक्रम का आनंद उठाया | नतृ्यों का र्मािम ने तो नाटक की प्रस्तुतत में चार चााँद लिा ददए। तनर्ासतयका श्रीमती रूमा तथा श्रीमती आरती ने तथा प्रिानाचायास श्रीमती मंजू िुप्ता तथा ववभािाध्यक्षा श्रीमती वप्रयंका गचत्रवंशी अपने प्रेरर्ादायक वचनों र्े बच्चों का मनोबल बढाया। इर् प्रततयोगिता में र्वोत्तम स्थान पर तनश्चय र्दन तथा अतत उत्तम स्थान पर शक्ति र्दन तथा उत्तम स्थान पर लर्द्ांत व ववश्वार् र्दन रहा।

ON CLIMATE
CHANGE AND
ITS IMPACTS
4&5 Living in the 21st century, education and schools can not be
limited to curriculum only. The focus need to be on developing a
community which supports global sustainability in every way.
On 14th October 2019, Kothari International School Noida took a
step in the same direction with help and guidance of 'The
Climate Project Foundation'. A representative of the foundation,
Ms. Rekha, conducted an informative presentation on Climate
Change and its impacts to sensitize and familiarize the faculty
and staff members towards the alarming issue. The school
intends to continue working with the foundation in order to
make itself a Green School, with the future in mind, designing a
learning experience for students that will prepare them to lead
the world toward a healthier, cleaner, more sustainable future.

ON THE
BIRTHDAY OF
MS. PRIYANKA
CHITRAVANSHI
4&5 In the smog covered concrete city that we live in, it is extremely
important for us to take every step necessary to help nature sustain.
One of these steps include planting a tree on one’s birthday as a
symbol of life sustenance and a pledge to do our very best in saving
the environment. With the same inspiration, the principal of Kothari
International School Noida, Ms. Manju Gupta, motivated the section
in-charge of grade 4&5, Ms. Priyanka Chitravanshi, to plant a tree on
her birthday that is, 15th October 2019. Kothari International School
Noida hopes to continue this noble tradition and contribute in its own
way towards preservation of environment

THEATRE
WORKSHOP
4&5 Drama is not merely an activity which is performed by a
specialist performer to entertain or preach people in its
traditional sense. It can also be used as an effective teaching-
learning tool in schools wherein it engages its participant at
physical, emotional, mental and social levels, simultaneously.
Drama provides its participants an optimum opportunity to
exercise their autonomy and consciousness in a safe and fictional
space created in a particular context, while also helping teachers
becoming critical thinkers in real-life situations.
A workshop on Theatre in Education was conducted for Grades 4
and 5 on 16th October, 2019 in the school A.V Hall. The resource
person was Mr. Rahul Khanna from Asmita Theatre Group, Delhi.
He explained about the role of theatre and how street plays play
an important role in educating various social issues to the
society. He interacted with the students and encouraged them
to participate in the theatre. He taught them the underlying song
for Nukkad Natak.
The students loved the enthusiasm and energy of Mr. Rahul.

ASSEMBLY
(GENDER
EQUALITY)
4 F On 22nd October, 2019 students of Grade 4 f of Kothari
International School, Noida presented an assembly based on the
theme ‘Gender equality’. The main objective of the assembly
was to raise awareness among students about Gender equality
which is the fifth goal among 17 sustainable development goals
set by the United Nations for the year 2030.
The assembly included an informative presentation in which the
meaning, imporatance and purpose of this goal was explained
followed by a Nukkad Natak on ‘Gender Inequality in India’.
Students also presented a beautiful dance on women
empowerment.
Parents as well as teachers appreciated the efforts put by the
students of Grade 4 F. It was a great learning experience for all.

SWACHHTA
ABHIYAN ART
COMPETITION
4&5 The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is the most significant cleanliness
campaign by the Government of India. By inviting people to
participate in the drive, the Swachhta Abhiyan has turned into a
National Movement. A sense of responsibility has been evoked
among the people through the Clean India Movement. With
citizens now becoming active participants in cleanliness activities
across the nation, the dream of a ‘Clean India’ once seen by
Mahatma Gandhi has begun to get a shape.
Now, what better age to learn the lesson of cleanliness than the
childhood! To evoke a sense of responsibility at a young age and
present what this drives mean to the young our generation,
Kothari International School Noida conducted an art competition
organised by the Noida authority on 23rd October 2019.
Students of grade 4 and 5 participated in the art competition
with zest and painted an India as they see it, 'clean and green'.
The paintings as well as the enthusiasm of children reflected the
promise of a better future and a generation of responsible
citizens.

G.K. QUIZ
4&5 General knowledge is something that really helps us grow on both
personal and academic level. It narrows our sense of perceiving the
world, understand and analyse the situations. It opens the gates of our
thinking and makes us more vigilant, aware of facts and information
about the world.
To see the expanse of knowledge the young minds of students of
grade 4 and 5 comprises was a delight to witness during the G.K. Quiz
competition organised by Maths and Science department in the school
auditorium on 24th October 2019.
Each team comprised of eight students. The students participated
enthusiastically and proved their wits and knowledge dueling through
the following rounds:
1. Pehchaan Kaun
2. Crazy Cosmos
3. Bujho Toh Jaane
4. Jingle Mein Mingle
5. Brain Teaser
6. Spin-the-Wheel
7. Rapid Fire
The competition also became a source of motivation for everyone
present, students , parents and teachers. The results disclosed the
winners, the Nishchay house was Outstanding, followed by Sidhdhant
and Vishwas house which were Excellent and Shakti house stood third
as Very Good.
It truly proved to be an enriching and fun-filled experience.

MAKING
4&5 As diwali is round the corner the students and teachers of grade
4 & 5 celebrated the occasion by doing an activity. On 25th
october, 2019, there was a rangoli making activity for the
teachers where all the staff of grade 4 and 5 made a beautiful
rangoli of flowers. They displayed their creativity and bonds of
unity by making a wonderful rangoli together.

4&5 The students also participated in a Thali Making Activity wherein
each child decorated a puja-thali for Diwali using various
decorative items. The students and teachers all enjoyed the fun
activities. It was a treat to see how all of them came out with
