Hello fellow Key Clubbers! How has school

been going for all of you? Hopefully you love all you

teachers and classes! Now while this is not the be-

ginning of the Key Club year, there will be an in-

crease in Key Club activities and some changes. So

keep your eyes and ears out for anything Key Club

related.

Speaking of keeping ears out for information,

make sure you listen to the bulletins! Often times

there is reminders in the announcements and in the

school bulletin. So just stay attentive so you don’t

miss out on any of the Key Club fun!

Speaking of fun… We will be having our first

meeting tomorrow! We will begin our regular sched-

ule of a meeting every other Friday in room A-20, so

make sure you mark your calendars!

If you guys have any questions or suggestions

for us please feel free to message anyone of the offic-

ers via school or private email! Keep promoting Key

Club and don’t forget to wear your gear tomorrow!

To those who have joined us again: Thank you so much for being loyal to Key Club

To those who are new to Key Club: I can’t wait to see what you all will bring to the ta-

ble.

To everyone: I know this will be a great year, filled with service and dedication.

Yet here we are once again at the beginning of the school year. Though the rest of the

school year may be filled with uncertainty, our road with Key Club is not. We have one mis-

sion, to serve our community. I can tell already, we have so much potential.

On the other hand, to those who have yet to meet me, my name is Theresa Tran. I am

currently a junior and the vice-president of KR Key Club. I knew about Key Club before my

freshman year, and went into my first year of Key Club with excitement. I found volunteering

exactly what I wanted and liked to do, and not simply for hours. I met other Key Clubbers not

only at Kentridge, but from other schools as well. Key Club gave me a reason to do the right

thing, not only when others are watching, but all the time. I hope that all of you will find the

same motivation.

I really hope that I will see the same faces throughout the year. As the year goes on, I

hope that Key Club will always be part of your school career. I hope we can reach our full po-

tential together, and that we use our best efforts to make this year even better than the last.

Yet, we are not following in the footsteps of the previous Key Clubs. We are making our own.

Officer Letter, Ammara Touch Happy New School Year! I'll keep this letter short and sweet, but I'll say I'm very, very excited to see new faces and have some fun (scratch that--A LOT of fun) with my fellow Key Clubbers. To the new members--we're so happy you decided to join us. To returning members--thank you for staying with us. The Key Club family continues to grow, and lets hope it doesn't stop here. I'm looking for-ward to seeing huge involvement, whether its coming to every recycling, attending our service events, or just being a light at our meetings. We love seeing it; we love seeing smiles, and how Key Club transforms us into amazing people. Whenever you need anything at all--questions about the club, help with service, assistance with homework, advice, or just someone to talk to, I'll be there! Don't hesitate to reach out to me--I'm there for you.

I know going over rules and requirements isn't everybody's favorite

topic, but it’s probably the most important. This is a new (school) year

and a new year means new expectations! So as I go through the list of

some changes, just keep in mind why you love Key Club so much! :)

Hour Requirements:

Each Key Clubber will be expected to complete 5 hours a semester.

Said hours must be filled out in handbook with signatures, and given to

the class representative on time.

DCON Requirements:

This years requirements are the same as last year. Each Key Clubber

must have at least 35 hours and 5 recycling's under their belt before they

can apply to go to DCON. Hint: get your hours and recycling require-

ments done as soon as you can. This will help you avoid stress and will

keep you from trying to jam in a ton volunteer events into your schedule

in the middle of the school year.

End of the Year Awards:

This years awards will be based off the following:

Bronze = 20 hours

Silver = 40 hours

Gold = 60 hours

Reminder: These rules and requirements may be changed at any mo-ment! Right now they are fairly new and may change until a final deci-sion is reached. This page is meant to give you an idea of what's to come. So always make sure you pay attention to the slides at the meetings, for any rules or requirements stated there will most likely be final.

ficers decided to kick off the

new school year with a DCM!

We gathered together at the

Kent Regional Library and

had some fun, officer style.

The DCM mainly con-

sisted of rules, roles, and re-

quirements. But we enjoyed

an intense game of jeopardy

and writing letters to our fu-

ture selves.

Afterwards we inter-

acted and got to swap ideas

I think this month has the best highlight of them all… because our first meet-

ing is this month! Join us tomorrow in room A-20 afterschool for our first general

meeting.

For those of you who came to our first recycling, thank you so much! Keep

up the good work and remember that recycling is every Friday afterschool in room

September Knowledge DCM Recap

September Highl ights

Last month there was an amazing DCM put on by out lovely LTG Kim! The

joint DCM consisted of D28 & D32 having an absolute blast at the Henry Moses

Water Park. Key Clubbers got together and played icebreakers, shared ideas, and

swam! I think its safe to say that that DCM helped end summer with a splash!

I am proud to announce that our

member of the month is Kristin

Mannschreck! Kristin was a godsend at the

first recycling of the year held last week.

She organized groups, wrote names, and

kept things in order. She also helped the

incoming Key Clubbers get comfortable

and made sure everyone had the chance

to recycle. Not only did she keep things in

order, but she then went out recycled the

afternoon away! Thanks for all your fantas-

tic work Kristin! Its people like you who

help keep events running smoothly!

Shout out to those who came to our first recycling and helped out all the new Key

Clubbers! You guys are the best! Also a huge shout out to any one who helped re-

cruit new Key Clubbers or encouraged others to join. Keep up the good work!
