SUGGESTIONS IN SAC MEETING ON 19.02.2015

1. Dr.Preeti Mamgai,Senior Scientist, Zonal Project Directorate, Zone-I,ICAR,Ludhiana

- Action taken on the suggestions of the just last SAC meeting should be presented

- Upto 600 per year soil samples should be tested in the Soil Test Laborartory of the KVK

- Proceedings of the SAC Meeting should be put on the KVK web-site

- Action Plan of SMS (Horticulture) shoul also be presented even if the post is vacant

- Computer programmer should present the Action Plan in the SAC Meeting

- Under the heading lecture delivered, the topic of lectures and their date should be clearly indicated

- Date & monthof training should be given in Action Plan

- Upto 120 SMSs should be sent to the faremrs in each year covering different subjects

- SAC Presentation should be in Hindi language for easy understanding to all.

- The wheat variety Sri Ram 172 of a private company should be discouraged to grow by the

farmers in all the programmes of the KVK as this variety is highly susceptible to Yellow rust

disease

- Goat production should be encouraged among the farmers

- Upto 200 mango saplings should be produced at the KVK nursery unit.

- Agriculture and other allied departments should conduct one Farmer’s Seminar on a particular

topic in Abala district

- FLD on Summer Moong (variety MH-421) should be conducted

- Use Malathion instead of Imidachlorprid as it is not recommended by CCSHAU,Hisar

1. Ajola should be used as a fodder in Pigs

2. Impact of training programmes conducted by KVK should be presented in SAC Meetings

3. Value addition of meat, mushroom, vegetables and fruits should be promoted by the KVK.

4. OFT on Gypsum in rice crop should be conducted

Sale price of vegetables and other horticultural products should be fixed and their marketing

should be made easy.

In the end of the meeting, Dr.Upasana Singh, Programme Coordinator, KVK,Tepla, Ambala assured for changes in the Action Plan-2015-16 as per the suggestions given by the SAC Members and thanks devoted to all Members.
