I, Kristin Harris, am deeply honored to be publicly acknowledged by my pupils for this award. Asa faculty member here at Galveston College, I take to heart the position I uphold.

I make every effort to challenge my students by setting high expectations in their courses. Forevery student to thrive both academically and personally, positive feedback is necessary. I providewarm and accepting environment where students feel they disclose their dreams and aspirations. Thusbetter helping me create safe environment for my students to strive to reach their goals.

As an Instructor I share my fruitful knowledge through verbal and hands on instruction.Students receive the most current information relating to the cosmetology field. I use much of mypersonal time to help students after school to tutor them and make up hours. It is a delight to expandtheir education and the possibilities that the Cosmetology industry has to offer whether in the classroom or on field trips . Student success is my number one concern.
