PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Data warehouse for the Ricoh Europe is built on two types of data loading strategy. First is full load of data and second is capturing daily changes in source data with help of CDC tool. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Involved as ETL Developer during the analysis, planning, design, development, and implementation stages of projects.

• Building Datastage jobs and sequences for new data induction from source to staging layer.

• Active participation in decision making and QA meetings and regularly interacted with the Business Analysts & SMEs to gain a better understanding of the Business Process, Requirements & Design.

• Used Datastage as ETL tool to design and develop jobs to extract data from sources systems (Complex Flat files and DB2 Files), applied transform logics to extracted data and loaded the data into the Data Mart (Oracle 11g database).

• Developed Staging Jobs to extract the data from Source Files and done the Data Cleansing, Data Conversion and Data Standardization to Staging area, and developed the Target Jobs to extract the Fine and proper data from Staging area, applied all Business rules and logics before loading to the Data Mart.
