Rights Based Approach is the underlying attitude with which we approach this campaign
Equity and Inclusion are Criteria that ought to guide us when we are actually strategizing on what we want to achieve (our goals), and how we go about getting it (strategy)
And Advocacy (both people-centered and policy-centered) would be part of the overall strategy (one of the many tools) to help us achieve a Right
Lobbying is one of the ways of doing Advocacy at the policy centered level
A Campaign is a combination (planned?) of all the strategies that would be used to achieve the Right
EQUITY (≠ EQUALITY) is a concepta) Different people need preferential treatment to ensure
fairness, hence…b) Some regions/countries have an “unjust” share of the ‘pie’
because they enjoy greater influence/power, hence….c) Within organisations, discriminations exist which affect
recruitment, retention and optimal performance, hence….
INCLUSION is an actiona) Ensure the dignity requirements of the above are recognised
by duty bearersb) Ensure the above individuals/groups get whatever they need
to live a dignified lifec) Ensure that the above individuals/groups can claim their
rights and enjoy political space
RIGHTS BASED APPROACH (RBA ≠ NBA)NBA tries to change people’s situation of lack of resources
RBA tries to systemically change people’s situation of lack of power

That while empowering people (especially the excluded) to claim/realise their right
Also changes the content of the constitutional/legal system in favour of this Right
Such a campaign will also work to Influence the actual implementation on the ground of this Right
