SAFETY PRECAUTIONS The following precautions are suggested to help prevent accidents:
A careful operator is the best operator. Most accidents can be avoided by observing
certain precautions. Read and take the following precautions before operating the Gobyjet
to help prevent accidents. Equipment should only be operated by those who are
responsible and instructed to do so properly.
Gobyjet Safety
1. Read the Operator’s Manual carefully before using the Gobyjet and Gamajet
Units. Lack of operating knowledge can lead to accidents.
2. Keep the Gobyjet attachments in good operating condition and keep safety
devices in place and easily accessible.
3. Use the removable sides of the Gobyjet to access the inside of the unit or the
diesel engine. Keep vents cleared of mud and debris.
4. Do not permit anyone but the operator to start the Gobyjet.
5. Replace all missing, illegible or damaged safety decals.
6. Keep safety decals clean of dirt and grime.
Initial Start-Up
1. Remove the left/right cover off the Gobyjet frame using a 5/32 Allen-Wrench and
a flat head screw driver. To remove the panels, lift and pull out on the panel.
Make sure to place all removed hardware in safe place. Remove each cover
carefully and place aside for easy installation.
Left/Right Cover

2. Check the radiator fluid level. Radiator fluid is required before starting Gobyjet.
The radiator is located in front of the engine. A twist on cap is located on the left
side of the radiator. Fill radiator till you can see fluid. Only do this step if fluid is
needed.
3. You can turn the main battery disconnect switch (red and green switch) ON
before filling the fuel tank with Diesel Fuel so you can watch the fuel gauge
while carefully filling the tank up. The fuel cap is chained onto the Gobyjet to
avoid getting lost.
4. Check engine oil level before starting Gobyjet engine. On the top of the Kubota
engine, there is a dip stick handle located next to the valve cover.
5. Open fuel shut off valve located on the control panel. Fill fuel filter up with diesel
fuel if needed.
Fuel shut off valve in the closed position. Fuel shut off valve in the open position.
6. Fuel line should not need to be primed. The Gobyjet system has a fuel pump that
should take care of the fuel needs for the engine. The fuel pump can be heard
when there is power to the system and the ignition switch is turned to the run
position.
7. On the bottom of the pump is a petcock valve used to drain the remaining water
from the pump. Ensure that this petcock valve is closed to prevent leakage.
8. Make sure the suction and discharge have hoses connected. Water is needed to be present at all time in the Kubota pump while the engine is running.
9. The engine is ready for the starting sequence.
10. Supply proper water source to pump suction. Discharge water to a safe location.
11. The oil pressure, fuel level, voltage, and water temperature gauge will be
illuminated after the main battery disconnect switch is at the run position.
12. Turn ignition switch one position clockwise and watch as the control panel lights
turn on.
13. Once the glow plug light turns off, pull the priming handle fully rearward until
water comes out the bottom of the unit. This indicates that the pump is fully
primed. While still holding the priming handle, turn the ignition switch farther to
Fuel shut off valve

start Gobyjet engine. Release the ignition switch and priming valve once the
engine turns over.
14. Once engine starts, let run for about 5 minutes at idle. Note: Water must be
supplied to the pump at all time while the engine is running.
15. To accelerate engine twist the throttle handle counter clockwise to adjust RPM of
engine up. To slow the engine, push the throttle in or twist the throttle handle
clockwise.
16. Turn off engine after test. Be sure to fully turn off the ignition switch after each
run or after every time the engine is cranked, but doesn’t turn over. This allows all
the timers in the Gobyjet to rest.
17. Re-install right side skins.
18. The Gobyjet is ready for regular operation now.
Fuel (Diesel)
The fuel cap is located on the front control panel to the left of the engine controls. It is a
green cap. Green designates diesel fuel ONLY. Fill fuel tank ONLY there.
1. Type of fuel to use:
a. When operating in temperatures above 20°F (-6.7°C), use diesel fuel oil
No. 2-D with a minimum cetane rating of 40. When operating in
temperatures below 20°F (-6.7°C), use diesel fuel oil No. 1-D with a
minimum cetane rating of 40. Low ambient temperatures as well as engine
operation at high altitudes may require use of fuels with higher cetane
ratings.

b. Fuel represents a major portion of you Gobyjet operating costs; therefore,
it is important to use it efficiently. Do not let low price tempt you to use
inferior diesel fuel. The initial savings is a false economy when you
consider the damage poor fuel can do to your Gobyjet’s fuel system.
2. Under no circumstances should gasoline, alcohol or blended fuels be added to
diesel fuel. These combinations can create an increased fire or explosive hazard.
Such blends are more explosive than pure diesel in a closed container such as a
fuel tank. Do not use these blends.
3. Arrange fuel purchases so that winter grade fuels are not held over and used in the
spring.
4. Never remove the fuel cap from the chain.
5. If the original fuel tank cap is lost, replace it with Gamajet Cleaning Systems
approved cap. A non-approved, proprietary cap may not be safe.
6. Never remove the fuel cap or refuel the Gobyjet when the engine is running or is
hot.
7. Do not smoke while refueling or when standing near fuel.
8. Maintain control of the fuel filler nozzle when filling the tank.
9. Do not fill the fuel tank to its max capacity. Allow room for expansion.
10. Always tighten the fuel tank cap securely.
11. Wipe up spilled fuel immediately.
12. Keep equipment clean – free of trash, mud, debris and oil and properly
maintained.
13. Do not place equipment near open flame.
14. Never use fuel for cleaning purposes.

Operating the Gobyjet
1. Turn the main battery disconnect to the on position.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the run position. Wait for the glow plug light to turn
off. Make sure fuel levels are acceptable.
3. Do not start the engine or operate the system from control panel if the hoses are
not connected to the suction and discharge ports of the water pump. Always stand
in front of the control when starting the engine or operating controls.
4. Do not let suction side of water pump run dry during operation.
5. Do not place the Gobyjet on uneven ground.
6. Do not operate the Gobyjet engine in an enclosed building without adequate
ventilation. Exhaust fumes can be deadly.
7. If engine ceases operation, turn off ignition switch, main battery disconnect and
fuel valve before checking on the system.
Servicing the Gobyjet
1. Make sure to add antifreeze to the pump when storing the Gobyjet in freezing
weather. Water left in the pump can freeze and damage the pump. 2. If the pump does not generate the proper pressure and flow, checking the inlet of
the pump can easily be done. Partially blocking the inlet side of the pump will
starve the pump of flow and can potentially damage the pump.
3. The cooling system operates under pressure which is controlled by the radiator
cap. It is dangerous to remove the cap while system is hot. Always turn cap
slowly to the first stop and allow the pressure to escape before removing the cap
entirely.
4. The fuel oil in the injection system is under high pressure and can penetrate the
skin. Unqualified persons should not remove or attempt to adjust a pump, injector
nozzle or any other part of the fuel system. Failure to follow these instructions can
result in serious injury.
5. Do not change governor settings. Do not tamper with governor springs, governor
links or other parts which may increase the engine speed.
6. Dirt and rock particulate or other debris that gets lodged in the cooling fins or
governor parts can affect engine speed.
7. Do not smoke while refueling the Gobyjet. Keep any type of open flame away.
Wait for engine to cool before refueling.
8. Keep open flames away from battery and cold weather starting aids to prevent fire
or explosion. Use jumper cables according to instructions to prevent spark which
could cause explosion.
9. Shut down the engine completely and disconnect the battery before performing
any services on the Gobyjet.
10. Escaping liquids or fuel under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious
injury.
a. DO NOT use your hand to check for leaks. Use a piece of cardboard or
paper to search for leaks.
b. Stop engine and relieve pressure before connecting or disconnecting lines.
c. Tighten all connections before starting engine or pressurizing lines

If fluid is injected into or onto the skin, obtain medical attention immediately.
11. Do not modify, alter or permit anyone else to modify this Gobyjet or any of its
components or any Gobyjet function without first consulting Gamajet Cleaning
Systems.
12. Avoid prolonged skin contact with used engine oil. Wash skin promptly with soap
and water.

Warning Lights
The warning lights, shown on the instrument panel figure previously, are located on the
left of the ignition switch.
• The engine temperature and oil pressure indicator warning lights are located as
shown on the instrument panel figure previously. When the key start switch is
turned to “RUN”, the oil pressure and charge lights come on. After the engine has
been started, the lights should go out within a few seconds. If they do not go out:
o Engine oil pressure warning light: Stop the engine immediately and
investigate the cause. It is important to remember that this light indicates
oil pressure only. The operator must regularly check the crankcase for
proper oil level. If the engine losses oil pressure at any time, the oil
pressure control unit will automatically shut down the engine.
Investigation must be conducted to determine the loss of pressure.
o Coolant temperature warning light: The warning light is not on under
normal operation conditions. If the light comes on, stop the engine and
investigate. Regularly check the radiator for proper coolant level.
WARNING: When engine is at operating temperature always
relieve pressure in the cooling system before removing the radiator
cap.
Fuel Gauge
• The fuel gauge is located on the left side of the instrument panel, Figure 2.
Hand Throttle Controls
• The hand throttle is shown on the instrument panel figure previously. The
operator can turn the throttle counter clockwise to increase rpm or clockwise to
decrease rpm. Pull throttle toward you to increase engine rpm and push the
throttle forward to decrease engine rpm.
Voltage Gauge
• 12 VDC Voltmeter – is an instrument used for measuring the electrical potential
difference between two points in an electric circuit. There are also 2 fuses for the
Gobyjet. The first is a 2 Amp fuse that is located inside of the engine control
panel supplying power to the engine controls. The second fuse is a 5 Amp fuse
and is located on the back side of the control panel and supplies power to the rest
of the control panel and the priming pump.
Pressure Gauge
• Discharge pressure gauge is located in the center control panel.
Kubota Gobyjet Manual Page 13 of 15
Oil Gauge
• An instrument which indicates the oil pressure as the oil is pumped through the
engine. If this gauge shows a sharp drop, reads low or the warning light lights up,
it is possible that there is low or no oil in the engine. Turn off the engine
immediately. Check the oil level and replenish it as necessary. A Gobyjet with no
oil in the engine could destroy the engine within minutes.
• The oil gauge will read higher when the engine is starting in a cold climate. The
oil pressure should return to normal once the engine has had time to warm up.
Temperature Gauge
• An instrument for measure the temperature of the coolant in engine block.
Priming Valve
• To prime the pump pull priming valve handle towards you. Release priming
handle to disable the priming pump.
Exhaust
• Located out the top of the Gobyjet.
Battery Switch
• A manual switch for disconnecting the battery.
Fuel Filter
• Review engine manual for spare parts list and locate a local Kubota Dealer for
filter replacement.
