familiebedrijf zijn. Ook nu concentreren wij ons

advies tot de inbouw: wij helpen u samen met
ons netwerk van vakbekwame partners. Daarbij
hechten wij veel belang aan de realisatie van al

they become the centre point of the home.
The place where you receive friends and
entertain. The place where you meet,
talk, laugh, cry and discuss. – This is
where people make decisions, get the
homework done, surf the Net, decorate
birthday cakes and make gifts, call friends
and relatives and, yes, cook and eat with
them too. Your kitchen is where you live.
And that‘s just what we make our kitchens
for: for everything that‘s in life.

living alone. Others still have just found their
better halves, and have become two, and will
soon be three. There‘s one thing they have in
common, though: they all need kitchens. Which
is where we come in. We‘d like to build you the
kitchen that suits you and your life. We‘d like to
create somewhere you feel secure and you love
coming back to, time and time again. It‘s a bit
like we‘d like to build your nest with you.

Here‘s the Sieber family – two large people and two
small ones who like nothing so much as being together
all day. Which is why they decided on an open plan kitchen.
„If I‘m in the kitchen and the kids are in the living room,
we can see one another, talk to one another and simply
have fun together,“ Bianca Sieber says.
The kitchen has a little workspace built in so Ronald
Sieber can be with his family too when he‘s working
from home.

de kinderen in de woonkamer zijn, kunnen wij elkaar zien,

It‘s twenty-six years the Klockers have lived
in their house; their kitchen is only recent,
though. „I really love cooking. Preferably with
vegetables from my own garden – like the
tomatoes, most of them don‘t even make it as
far as the kitchen. I always eat them straight
off the bunch!“ says Frau Klocker. Eating well,
her husband says, comes with cooking well.
„Above all, though,“ he stresses, „It‘s about high
quality ingredients. And, to me, that clearly
includes the tools, the kitchen, that is.“
De Klockers wonen al 26 jaar in hun eigen
huis. Hun keuken is echter nog heel recent. “Koken
is mijn passie. Het liefst kook ik met groente uit
de eigen tuin – de tomaten halen het meestal
zelfs niet tot in de keuken. Die verorber ik altijd
meteen na het plukken”, lacht mevrouw Klocker.
Lekker eten is onlosmakelijk verbonden met
goed koken, aldus haar man. “Maar vooral”,
benadrukt hij, “met een hoge kwaliteit van de
basisproducten. En daartoe reken ik ook het
gereedschap, dus de keuken.”

Having two small boys means, you always
need to be on the lookout for a bag of fleas and
wild animal traps at the same time. Not always
easy if you‘d like to get the food ready too. „We
use our kitchen from morning to night, and so
we‘re glad we‘ve enough space for our children
to play here too,“ says Frau Läßer.
And even if friends come around, no-one has
to cook alone, because the family also decided
on an open plan solution. „It‘s so nice when,
suddenly, all our friends are together, and
everyone gets involved in the cooking.“
Twee kleine jongens – dat wil zeggen, dat
men ogen in zijn rug moet hebben. Niet altijd
gemakkelijk, vooral niet als je daarbij ook nog
wil koken. “Wij gebruiken onze keuken van ‘s
morgens tot ‘s avonds. En daarom zijn wij
blij, dat wij genoeg plaats hebben zodat onze
kinderen ook hier kunnen spelen”, legt
mevrouw Läßer uit.
Ook als er bezoek is, hoeft niemand alleen te
koken, want de familie Läßer heeft een open
keuken gekozen. “Het is zo mooi als iedereen
samen is en spontaan meehelpt in de keuken.”

Our storyOnze geschiedenis
If you‘re running your own joinery company at 18,
and laying the foundations to ensure that company is
still growing and thriving more than 70 years later, you
must have good hands. Walter Kuhlmann had that feeling,
which is why he switched to making kitchens as far back
as the 50s.
The passion for craftsmanship of the highest level,
and an open ear for everything customers want, was
something he passed on to his two sons, Bernd and
Jochen Kuhlmann. So we can look back on a really
great wealth of experience.
Today, kuhlmann employs around 140 staff at Enger,
making around 12,000 kitchens a year in 15,000 m2
production space. And kuhlmann is a household name
outside Germany, too, – we‘re proud to say, we make
50 % of our sales in the rest of Europe.
Wie op 18 jaar al een eigen meubelmakerij leidt en de
basis legt voor een bedrijf dat ook 70 jaar later nog groeit
en bloeit, moet wel erg getalenteerd zijn. Walter Kuhlmann
heeft een bijzondere gave en heeft zijn productie daarom
al in de jaren 1950 naar keukenmeubels verlegd.
Ook de beide zonen Bernd en Jochen Kuhlmann kregen de
passie voor handwerk op het hoogste niveau en de bereid
heid om te luisteren naar iedere wens van de klanten mee
met de paplepel naar binnen. Hierdoor kunnen wij op een
gigantisch grote schat aan ervaring teruggrijpen.
Nu stelt kuhlmann in de vestiging Enger ca. 140 mensen
te werk en produceert op een productieoppervlak van
15 000 vierkante meter ongeveer 12 000 keukens per jaar.
En ook buiten de grenzen van Duitsland is kuhlmann een
begrip – wij realiseren niet minder dan 50 procent van
onze omzet in het Europese buitenland.

“Sustainability was already an issue for us
even before the word really existed as such,
since the ‘50s and ‘60s, that is. Because I’m not
just passionate about joinery, above all, I love
Nature. When I’m not thinking about furniture,
what I really like doing is walking in the forest.
As a forester, using wood means a lot to me:
because if you take the long-term view and treat
this raw material responsibly, it will keep on
growing and growing, over and over again.
So there’s something left for our grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. And that’s something
which is very close to my heart.”
“Duurzaamheid was bij ons al een prioriteit
toen het woord eigenlijk nog helemaal niet
bestond. Dus sinds de jaren vijftig en zestig. Want
ik ben niet alleen een schrijnwerker in hart en
ziel, ik ben vooral ook natuurliefhebber. Als ik
niet nadenk over meubels wandel ik het liefst
in het bos. De omgang met hout speelt voor
mij als boswachter een grote rol. Als men deze
grondstof met een vooruitziende blik en verant

en achterkleinkinderen ervan genieten. En
dat ligt mij zeer na aan het hart.”
1992Jochen Kuhlmann joins the company. The focus is now on product variants, contemporary design and individual options.

Glass fronts are a visual highlight in the kitchen.
You can choose between clear or satin finish
glass, rippled country glass or translucent black
glass. This last option is particularly striking
with internal lighting: switching it on makes the
glass transparent and shows what is inside the
cupboard.

Waste sorting is quite easy with the right
system. We have three different systems
available: all three offer different, coordinated
container sizes. individual containers can
be removed quite easily, and fixed covers
ensure the hygiene required.
With a niche system, you can use every centi-
metre of your kitchen, for maximum flexibility.
From a spice rack to hooks, from kitchen roll
holder to the perfect recipe book solution –
there‘s nothing you can‘t have. The concealed
mountings and mounting sections right on the
wall fit in nicely with the elegant appearance.
There are three niche systems in all: CAiMi,
MiRo and LiNERo.

a lot of time, especially in the evening. so
getting the lighting right plays a key part. The
solution: our LED lighting system. if you decide
on our lit glass insert floors and black glass
front panels, for example, the effect is astonish-
ing: because the black glass is translucent,
that is, you can see through it when the interior
lights come on.
Edges must be strong, but must look good,
too. Which is why we have many different
edge options.
our PRisMA models, for example, give a

make it look high-tech at the same time – a
real alternative to the ordinary designs!
