PEOPLEkuril dhagun is committed to building and sustaining a long-term relationship with Indigenous communities across Queensland, co-creating content and engaging in a two-way learning process for all.

kuril dhagun is also dedicated to supporting the development of all State Library staff to play an active role in working with Indigenous community throughout Queensland.

PLACEkuril dhagun at the State Library of Queensland explores different ways of understanding, co-creating and showcasing stories with, by and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Visitors to kuril dhagun experience the diversity of Indigenous cultures and histories through a range of public programs and spaces where they are invited to explore and interact with Australia’s oldest living culture

CONNECTION kuril dhagun is a conduit for connecting communities to a shared awareness and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture of Queensland through a diverse of public programs, library services, collection strategies and digital technologies.

LEGACYThe collection and preservation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, knowledge and culture will ensure a legacy for all Queenslanders from an Indigenous perspective. kuril dhagun plays a pivotal role in supporting and collaborating with units in State Library of Queensland that currently work with Indigenous communities, working towards extending the reach of collections, working with collections to profile items, significance, research and presentation.
