P R O G R A M M O D E

Enter PROGRAM Mode

The Kurzweil PC3 on power up will always boot into PROGRAM mode

and will display a red light on the Program button.

If you find yourself trapped deep in the PC3s menus and would like to

immediately return to PROGRAM mode, you can by continually pressingthe Exit button.

Using General MIDI sounds

The PC3 comes with a bank of specially programmed General MIDI(GM1) compatible PROGRAMs. In order to use these sounds, the PC3

must firstly be put into its GM compatibility mode.

When General MIDI is in use, both SETUP and QACCESS modes are disabled.@

Demos for every PROGRAM

Each PROGRAM comes pre-programmed with a small demonstration riff foryou to audition the sound with while in PROGRAM mode. To play the riff

once, you simply press the Play / Pause button on the front panel.

If a demonstration riff does not play, it meansthat this function has simply been turned off.

To turn it back on again is very simple.

Press the MASTER mode button.

Press the Page 2 button.

Turn Demo Button to On

Quickly change the Arpeggiator

The same button you use to turn on/off the arpeggiator, you can use tochange the arpeggiator settings in PROGRAM mode. By pressing the

ARP & SW buttons simultaneously, you can quickly change your ar-peggio and the way it behaves.

Press Exit when you have finished, and the new settings are saved.

Set the Tap Tempo

To get to the Tap Tempo editor in PROGRAM mode (andSETUP mode), you press the left & right navigation buttons

simultaneously.

You will notice that while you are in the TapTempo editor, that the bottom 4 CATEGORY

buttons blink in time.
