Kwek Leng Beng

Kwek Leng Beng is the owner of the company'sHong Leong Group. 

The company was founded by his father and uncle who had been pioneered since the 1940s. 

The company is engaged in property, financial services, and building materials. 

Beginning in the 1960s he joined the family business.

Early in his career he was prepared to become a lawyer in London but he is more interested in the business world.

In 1990 he became chairman and then managed to build its reputation as an international businessman.

In the property business he built the company's City Development Limited (CDL) in Singapore. The company operates in 20 countries in Asia, Europe, North America and Australia. CDL Group has over 250 companies.

CDL is the second largest property developer in Southeast Asia.Another position is the Chairman of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels (M & C), based in London has a 53% stake owned by CDL. 

Hotel M & C is ranked 40th in the list of top hotels in the world and has a portfolio of more than 120 hotels that manages the 36,500 rooms in 19 countries.
