Bertram Oval is situated next to Bertram Primary School and is available for public

use. This is a shared oval with Bertram Primary School who have access for

students during normal school hours (8:30am to 3.30pm). Public access to Bertram

Oval is available outside of these times. Cricket nets are located on a corner of the

oval allowing use outside of school hours.

Centennial is one of the larger parks in Bertram with sufficient space for physical

activity opportunities. There is a picnic area with 2 picnic tables and there are 9 park

benches spread throughout the park. A playground is provided for occupying the

Ascot is a large open space for unlimited physical opportunities for the whole family.

There is a small playground located at one end with swings and a park bench. There

is limited shade provided as it is still only a new park. It is within close proximity to a

bus stop and there is parallel parking provided.

Wetlands Walk captures the natural surrounds within Kwinana. There are 2 picnic

tables at one end overlooking mature trees and native birdlife. A path continues

through and around the park creating physical activity opportunities for people who

visit. There are ramp and stair access to the paths allowing any one to be able to

visit and enjoy the environment.

This is one of Kwinana’s most recent additions to its assortment of parks. Located in

the new park of Bertram on Millbrook Ave this park has an entertaining playground

for most ages with soft fall. Shade sails are provided for protection and there are 3

park benches situated directly opposite the playground.

Sanctuary Drive Sanctuary Drive, Bertram

Sanctuary Drive is a great place to take in Kwinana’s natural bush land. A path

continues through this open space with native plants surrounding on each side of the

path. This park is ideal for a leisurely stroll to connect with nature in a rapid growing

suburb.

Prince Regent Park Oakham Way & Brothwick Place, Orelia

Prince Regent Park occupies a large open grass space surrounded by houses.

There is ample amount of room for kicking the football and entertaining the children.

Limited shade is available and there is only one park bench located to one end of the

park.

Everglades Park is a small park in Bertram. It has a large kick‐about area great for

picnics or some friendly sport with the neighbours. Perimeter tree’s provide minimal

shade and there are currently no formal facilities.

Hidden by houses Gawler Way POS is a great place to relax. There are swings and

play equipment to entertain the children. A park bench is provided however there is

plenty of grass to spead out on. There is no parking however for surrounding houses

it is only a short walk.

A small neighbourhood park situated away from the main streets is a great place for

children to play. It is surrounded by overlooking houses and has an adventurous

playground for entertaining the kids. Park benches and a picnic table are situated

Casuarina Hall Reserve is only a short 2 kilometres from Bertram and has many

facilities to offer. The hall is available for hire and can cater for a variety of groups

and events. The courts are available for public use and nets can be hired through the

Progress Association - 0417 195 441. There is a sheltered BBQ area for family

gatherings and plenty of grass for the children to run around on.

Kwinana Beach

Kwinana Beach is situated in the Industrial area of Kwinana. A jetty and boat ramp is

available with a large grassed area for the children to run around on. There is a large

Wells Park is situated on the opposite side of the car park to Kwinana Beach. There

is ample grassed space with 4 sheltered picnic tables spread around. A large

playground area is located at one end near the tennis courts. Nets for these courts

can be borrowed from the retail outlet across the road. Wells Park is a great place

for family picnics and get-together.

Leda

English Retreat Park Corner Sloan's Drive & Edward Street, Leda

This is a well sheltered park with a small playground to occupy the children. A park

bench is located overlooking the playground with a memorial picnic table located at

the top of a small incline overlooking the whole park. English Retreat is situated next

to Leda Hall and is a great place for escaping to.

Djilba Reserve provides many physical activity opportunities. A half court and

basketball ring are central in the park with the playground and picnic area situated at

the back end. Paths join all aspects of the park together and create walkways for

people visiting or passing through. There is also open grass areas between the

paths for engaging in different physical activities or relaxing.

Sloan's Reserve is a great place for a family picnic. 2 new electric BBQ's have been

installed and there are 4 picnic tables located around the reserve. There is a lot of

open space for the children to run around and a playground and equipment to

engage them with. Sloan's Reserve is located next to the historic Sloan's Cottage

and joins onto Wally's Walk Trail which connects up to the Kwinana Loop Trail. A

large car park is provided and a public toilet block is also available.

Located next to Sloan's Reserve, Feilman POS is available for a resting spot on the

Kwinana Loop Trail. There are 2 park benches and some equipment to entertain the

energetic children. Further along the path there is a set of chin up bars for people

after some extra physical activity opportunities. There is a car park which is

accessible off Feilman Drive.

Whyatt Green Dalrymple Drive, Leda

This park is on a slight hill providing views of Leda from the top. The park benches

are positioned for an enjoyable view of the surrounds. Swings are provided to

occupy the children while you relax in the shade from the trees.

Apex Rotary Park Summerton Road, Medina

Apex Rotary Park is a community park sponsored by the Rotary Club of Kwinana. It

is located close to the town centre and hosts the facilities for picnics, barbeques and

birthday parties. There are plenty of trees to provide shaded playing area for the

Harry McGuigan Park is a dog exercise area conveniently located in the middle of

Medina. Occupying a large space provides maximum exercise opportunity for pets. 3

different playgrounds and a half court are grouped together for entertaining the

The central location of this park and the range of facilities make it great play for the

whole family to enjoy. Parallel parking bays are located on Hoyle Road.

Orelia Oval is home of the Kwinana Tigers Hockey Club and the Kwinana Cricket

Club. A full sized oval is available with a cricket pitch and batting cages on the

surrounds. Opposite to the clubrooms is a multipurpose playground with a variety of

different pieces of equipment to be explored. Park Benches are situated around the

oval shaded by trees for a relaxing view of the oval.

Sandringham Park is located on the outskirts of Orelia in Windsor Hills. All sides are

accessible from the road except one. This park is diverse and is suitable for all ages.

There are three playgrounds each with their own unique equipment for entertaining

the children. Open grassed space for recreational use is available and a picnic area

for family get-togethers it set amongst trees. The park backs onto bush land

attracting birds and creating a setting for those wishing to just sit and relax. A new

snake path has been added and contains mosaic artwork by Challenger TAFE

students.

Varris Way Varris Way, Orelia

Varris Way has a view overlooking Kwinana. It provides a great place for children to

play. A set of swings and playground are at their disposal. A picnic bench is provided

for those wanting to just sit and relax in the sun.

Hennessy Park is located amongst trees on a generous size piece of land. The

playground provides fun for the children and a park bench overlooks it. There is

plenty of space to run around between trees however not appropriate for playing ball

games.

Surrounded by houses Rutherford Square is accessible from all directions. There are

2 levels to the park with the playground situated on the lower level. Shade sails are a

recent addition to the 3 piece playground providing much needed shade. 2 park

benches are located on the upper level allowing people to observe the view and

large flat grassed area below. Decorative gardens are situated around a wide path

and stairs which are centrally positioned within the park. Access between the levels

can be made along each side on a grassed pathway.

Reilly Reserve Reilly Reserve, Orelia

Enjoy a leisurely walk through a section of Kwinana's bush land. A bench is located

half way along the path for those wanting to enjoy the scenery.

Oakham Oakham Way & Brothwick Place, Orelia

One of the newest parks in Kwinana, Oakham is situated conveniently next to a

TransPerth bus stop. Half of the space is native bush land with the other half

grassed. The grassed area is large enough to spread out a picnic blanket but doesn't

provide many physical activity opportunities. It is a steep incline however a level path

provides access. There are 2 benches located along the path to sit and enjoy the

scenery.

Parmelia Chisham Oval Chisham Ave, Parmelia

This oval provided a large open grassed space and has public toilets located on site.

A half court and basketball ring is hidden on the opposite side of the oval to the

toilets. Limited curb parking is available.

Located on a large block with plenty of space to run around this park is ideal for

occupying the whole family. There are 2 playgrounds and swings to keep them

happy all afternoon. A picnic table overlooks both playgrounds and shaded by trees

for protection. There is verge parking is available on Hunt Place and this park is

conveniently located a short walking distance from the Town Centre.

Peace Park Corner of Parmelia Ave & Sulfur Road, Parmelia

Peace Park has an exercise area fenced off for dogs. Inside the area there are a

variety of different obstacles for dogs to play with. There are 2 park benches with a

shelter situated inside the exercise area. Outside the exercise area the trees provide

a canopy which covers picnic tables and a BBQ. It is a great place for a BBQ picnic

lunch during summer.

provides limited physical activity opportunities for children with the playground and

swings available. A wide footpath allows access from one end to the other with only

a slight slope.

Situated in the quiet streets of Parmelia, Oakfield Gardens is a well sheltered park to

relax within. A park bench is located overlooking the playground and swings. There

near the BBQ close to the playground covered by shade sails.

those hot summer days. The sheltered playground is designed for people with

disabilities to enjoy. A large open grassed area is provided for maximum physical

Linear Park has many hidden distinguishing park benches throughout the park for

relaxing somewhere peaceful. Two electric BBQ's are available for cooking lunch or

dinner and are located overlooking the playgrounds. The playgrounds consist of

many different pieces of equipment to entertain the children. There is a pond located

at one end of the park with a stream running through the rest of the park, leading to

it. This park is perfect for a quiet family picnic with plenty of shade from the mature

trees.
