LOOK AT THE REAL PICTURE.LOOK AT THE LIFE CYCLE COSTS.
Service and maintenance costsusually account for around 10%of life cycle expenses.
Approximately 85% of a pump’slife cycle costs are incurred bypower consumption.
Initial purchase price rarelyaccounts for more than 5% of apump’s total cost over its lifetime.
Many utilities offer substantialrebates to install energy efficient systems.
What’s a pump audit?Simply put, a pump audit is a check-up of your pump system.
It checks the overall efficiency of your pumps and reveals how much you could
save by optimizing the pump system. What’s more, pump audit clearly shows the
monetary impact of those savings.
One of our pump auditors will visit your site and attach the pump evaluation
equipment to your system. The pump evaluation kit consists of a data
logger, power meter, flow meter, and pressure transducers.
When the evaluation period is complete,
the auditor will remove the equipment and
evaluate the data. A report is prepared
which includes a complete system
profile, recommendations for
optimizing the system, and
the associated cost savings.
Pump audit details
The Life Cycle Cost concept covers everything from purchase price to operation/maintenance costs
throughout its useful life (typically 15-20 years).
The payback period for an optimized replacement system is often 1-3 years.
At Grundfos, we want to actively help conserve the world’s energy
resources. We do so by following environmentally responsible
principles ourselves, but even more importantly, we create
technology that has a real impact on energy consumption
worldwide.
