?Hospitality expertise dwp designs hospitality spaces that set the scene for living, relaxation, dining and enjoyment. Reflecting diverse lifestyles, cultures and cities, dwp has conceived and implemented many inspirational, award winning projects.

The hospitality industry provides unique customer insights as it meets not only the needs of travellers, but also its restaurants, bars, fitness centres and event venues are utilised by local customers. With cheaper and safer international travel, rising standards of living and the globalisation of business, there has been an exponential rise in domestic and international travel.

The wide range of travel options available online, including factual information, commentary, photos and video has helped the hospitality market to grow as customers are more informed about their options and choices. As a result travellers today have a heightened expectation of receiving a great experience in every activity, whether at work, shopping, eating, exercising, receiving a service or in search of entertainment or leisure.

dwp particularly understands the demands of the growing business travel market. Business travel is not glamorous and brings with it a set of demands that, if met, will return loyalty and recommendation. Foremost on the business traveller?s list is connectivity, comfort, functionality and remaining healthy. By necessity, some business travellers are price driven, but new limited service models can be designed to offer tailored options. Women make up a growing proportion of business travellers and reward consideration of their needs with loyalty. The MICE market is not only important for the hospitality industry but also for local economies.

The leisure traveller seeks a valuable and authentic experience in a particular location. dwp?s design ensures the preferences of each leisure traveller are met, optimising the visitor experience in terms of local food, landscape, recreation, entertainment and culture. Leisure travellers include large groups, family groups, independent travellers and high net worth individuals.

As the diversity of travellers increases, so too does the need for sensitivity to cultural and religious needs, including familiar and/or religiously acceptable food, varying rituals of washing and bathing and religious observances for prayer, festivals and sacred calendars.

Our portfolio of hospitality work incorporates contemporary urban hotels, authentic resorts, innovative restaurants, globally recognised rooftop bars and uniquely branded hotel concepts. This experience provides us with unique insights into a wide range of customers and their unique preferences, whether they are travelling or local.

Our experience with working with a large range of international brands provides us with the capability to design with a deep understanding of the nuances of each unique brand. We also have the ability to align the brand requirements with the expectations of each target customer group. The benefit for owners and operators is demonstrated through higher occupancy rates and reputation and investment value. Our clients value our ability to provide globally awarded design, together with reliable local delivery in a wide range of locations.

Avani Resort?

Our work to renovate this rebranded resort enriches its sense of place and echoes the serenity of a setting surrounded by mountains, sand and sea.

Taking our inspiration from the resort?s name, which stems from Sanskrit for earth, dwp has captured the soul of Avani with neutral browns and beiges, punctuated with pops of purple.

Contemporary artwork, skilful workmanship and simplicity set the tone for a dialogue between the beautiful hotel and its beachside backdrop.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel?

dwp were engaged to renovate the 200sqm Author?s Wing of the acclaimed Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok.

This architectural project was aimed at enhancing the value of the overall hotel, by creating an extension of the presidential suite and retail area. The successful result ensured harmony with the main existing building and a tangible asset to the legacy of the property and its brand.

The design addressed the uniqueness of the existing building, adding a new signature space and reinstating the dramatic balcony and a new orangery. This impressive renovation took on an elegant and timeless colonial style, with a bright white look and sophisticated ambience, in keeping with the client?s desires.
