Economy Environment

Jobs created for local people. Construction workers, farmers earn more money selling more food to restaurants.

Some areas are given protected status (e.g. Machu Pichu - World Heritage Status)

Local workers spend their money earn from tourism in local businesses.

Taxes are paid to the government. They can spend this on large scale projects to encourage more tourists e.g. a new airport.
