Our six acre oceanfront resort is located at Mile Marker 80 in the heart of the Upper Keys. Our lush tropical island entrance welcomes you and your guests to paradise. Wander around our tropical walking paths and take in the natural beauty of the Florida Keys. Get your toes in the sand on our sunny beach, relax in a hammock, or play out on the water without leaving our resort.
Our guest rooms are all equipped with modern amenities. All of our rooms have wireless internet and full kitchenettes. We offer exquisite ocean view suites, resort view suites, ocean front cottages, townhouses, and a five bedroom house.

Our five bedroom house features a master suite with one king bed, two bedrooms with one double bed in each room, one bedroom with twin beds, and one bedroom with two double beds. The house has three bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, full kitchen, two terraces, a 1000 square foot private backyard, and private dock.

La Siesta Resort Amenities
La Siesta Resort and Marina features many amenities that set us apart. We provide a daily continental breakfast, bicycle rentals, fishing rods, local phone calls, on-site guest laundry, daily housekeeping services, heated fresh water swimming pool with hot tub, and a marina and boat ramp. Available for rent are 20 boat slips, jet skis, kayaks, and gas barbeque grills. We are a pet friendly hotel (25 pounds or under with a daily fee of $20) and are within walking distance or a short drive to several local restaurants.
La Siesta Resort and Marina offers several venues available for weddings and events. The resort has a 200 square foot tiki-thatched roof pavilion on the beach, 1,000 square foot oceanfront lawn, and two acre ocean front beach area for events.
We have an $18.00 per room, per day resort fee. This fee includes the daily continental poolside breakfast, use of the fishing rods, bicycles, kayaks, and wireless internet.
Check in after 4pm. Check out at 11am.

Catering & Bar Service
Catering
La Siesta Resort and Marina does not have on-site food and beverage outlets. We do require event organizers to choose a local professional, outside caterer from our vendors list to ensure that your event goes off without a hitch. These are local trusted vendors with a proven record of success here in Islamorada (see attached list).
Bar
A bartender, provided by La Siesta, is required with all beverage service requests. The bartender fee is $125 (plus tax and service charge). We require one bartender per 50 guests.
Beer and wine must be provided by the resort for $30.00 per person for up to four hours and $5.00 per person each additional hour thereafter. This includes domestic & imported beer, four varietals of wine, assorted variety of soda drinks, juices, bottled water, garnish, cups, and ice.
The wedding party is responsible for purchasing and providing their own bottles of liquor for their event. The resort’s bartenders will serve the liquor to the guests. Any unused liquor will be returned to the bride and groom. One week prior to the event the wedding party must supply a list of all liquors being served to the sales and catering manager.
** All prices subject to a 7.5% Florida sales tax and a 22% service charge.

At La Siesta Resort and Marina, we understand there are many details when planning your special day. We want to make it easy for you so we’ve developed two wedding packages. If you have the need, we are pleased to offer the services of a wedding day coordinator for the fee of $500.
“Seas” the Day (Package #1)

FAQ
1. How many people can this location accommodate?
La Siesta can accommodate events for up to 150 guests.
2. How long will I have use of the event space(s) I reserve? Is there an overtime fee if I stay longer?
Our wedding packages include up to four hours, however, you can rent the space longer for an additional hour site fee and bar fee. All events must end by 11:00pm per the Monroe County noise ordinance.
3. Can I bring my own wine, beer or champagne, and other alcohol?
La Siesta Resort must provide the beer, wine, and champagne. The wedding party is responsible for providing liquor. All left over liquor will be returned to the wedding party at the end of the event.
4. Are you licensed to provide alcohol service? Are there additional charges for bar staff?
La Siesta can provide beer and wine. One bartender is required for every fifty (50) guests. First bartender is included in wedding packages, each additional bar staff is $125 plus tax and service charge.
5. Are there restrictions on a time by which the music must end? Can the venue accommodate a DJ or live band?
All music and events must end by 11:00pm per the noise ordinance of Monroe County. La Siesta can accommodate a DJ or live band.
6. Do you offer on-site coordination? Will the coordinator supervise day-of?
Yes, our on-site coordinator does supervise the day-of. There is a charge of $500 for our day of coordinator if the wedding party does not have one.
7. Can I hire my own vendors (caterer, coordinator, DJ, etc.), or must I select from a preferred vendor list?
We do require that you use a vendor from our local vendors list. These are trusted and well respected vendors with a proven record of success here in Islamorada.
8. Do you have signage or other aids to direct guests to my event?
La Siesta does not provide signage, however, the wedding party may provide and put signs up on property to direct guests to their event with advance notice.

Resort Rules & Regulations
Per Monroe County Noise Ordinance, all events must end by 11:00pm.
Fireworks are not permitted to be set off on the grounds of the resort.
Grilling is not permitted upstairs or on the balconies (includes charcoal, electric, propane).
No glass is permitted in the pool area.
No radios are permitted in the pool area.
La Siesta is a pet friendly hotel, please pick up after your pet.
No pets are permitted in the pool area.
** Any violation of these rules can lead to a call to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and possible eviction. **

Policies
Payment and Deposit
All functions require an initial 50% non-refundable deposit of estimated charges to hold the space for your function. A signed Credit Card Authorization Form must be completed and returned to the resort for the initial deposit. All functions must be paid in full (30) thirty business days prior to the event. Please note payments must be made by cash, certified checks, or credit card.

Provided the group timely notifies La Siesta Resort of the cancellation and timely pays the above liquidated damages, La Siesta Resort agrees to not seek additional damages from the group relating to the cancellation.
Alcoholic Beverages
The Florida State Liquor Commission regulates the sales and service of alcoholic beverages. La Siesta Resort and Marina is responsible for administration of these regulations. All events where alcoholic beverages are consumed require attendance of TIPS certified beverage server(s) provided by the La Siesta Resort. The resort will determine the minimum number of beverage servers. Per Florida State Law, alcoholic beverages of any kind will not be permitted to be brought into the resort by the client or guests of the clients. Florida State Laws further prohibits the removal of alcoholic beverages, purchased by the resort, for the client’s consumption. Price and product lists are subject to change without notice.
