Lab Safety
•Follow the safety procedures outlined by your teacher. Ask questions if you’re unsure of what to do.
•Conduct yourself in a responsible manner. No running, pushing, horseplay, or practical jokes are allowed.
•Know where classroom safety equipment is located and know how to use it.
•Wear goggles when instructed to do so by your teacher.
•Never eat, drink or chew gum during lab activities.
Use care and common sense when working with chemical substances.
If you come in contact with a chemical substance, IMMEDIATELY rinse skin and clothing with water, and THEN inform your teacher.
Report all accidents and injuries to your teacher.
Cleanup is YOUR responsibility! Handle all used and unused substances as directed by your teacher. Clean up your work area.
