Act like scientists. Absolutely no horsing around. You will be removed from class and receive a zero for that lab assignment.
This is non-negotiable for everyone’s safety!

Science is hands-on. Labs are a big part of this class.
We will be using things like:GlasswareChemicalsKnives/RazorsHammers and PicksWe will be going outside at times.What potential hazards can you see in each of
these?What safety precautions MUST be observed?

Precautions
Never pick up broken glass with your hands!
Let people know there is broken glass so they can avoid it.
Clean it up with a broom and dustpan.

PrecautionDo not touch it!Notify your teacher
Remove the article of clothing if you can do so without spreading the chemical
Immediately rinse with running water until told to stop.

on lab days appropriate for going outside. Sneakers are ok but wear old ones – they might get muddy
If lab floor is ever wet (with anything but chemicals), immediately dry it up with paper towels.
