We started with them a long time ago.Unfortunately they don’t play well with others.

AXIS ERP Label Limitations

AXIS can only handle labels of up to 32 kb in size.

Our ECI logo by itself was larger than this limit.When we used LabelView to generate our label formats,they would not print properly.

We needed to embed all of our logos in the printer’s memory

Intermec printers use a bizarre .gfx image format called Monochrome 1 bit per pixel

Intermec : Monochrome 1bit / pixelThis image storage methoduses only a tiny fraction of thememory that a .jpg or .pngwould use, I assume that is why it was chosen by Intermec.

Interestingly, it looks a lot like anIntermec format file, when viewed in a text editor.

Image Conversion

Fortunately for us, James was able to build an easy to useconversion tool to convert all the logos we wanted to useon our labels to a format we could upload to the Intermecprinters and point to in the formats.
