“Ziggy” - UKC CH Honeys Valkyrie Ziggy Stardust,RN,TD,OAP,OJP,DN,NFP,CGC - Earned his Agility Novice Fast Title on Saturday, 8-19-17 at the YABTC Agility Trial in Niles, OH.
2 Months shy of being 11 years old. Not bad for a Grandsire!

“Kieran” - Buttercup's Celtic Charm CDX, RA, NA, NAJ added a Herding Started title (HSAs) to her name in the herding trial at Hado-Bar Farms on June 9th this year.
The following day at the same trial, she got her first leg toward her Masters title, earning two third place ribbons and
one fourth out of three runs that weekend. Her daughter, “Rowan” - Buttercup's Smoky Mountain Mist, finished her Novice B title at the Madison, Ohio
trial on August 26th. Rowan, my shy little Sheltie, overcame her fears to earn her CD "with honors", having received two blue ribbons and all three of her qualifying scores were earned in three consecutive attempts, each with a score from 191 1/2 - 194. Very proud of my little girl!
Welfare Perri Graf lost her first bred-by champion Newfoundland, Izzy. Ch. Nitestar's Worth the Wait, 1/17/06 – 8/9/17 Vicki Burkey-Bridgen lost her husband, Paul, on August 20. Sue Davis lost her Mother. The Club sends its sincere condolences on our recent losses.

Jeff will help you improve your Q rate by teaching you to analyze the agility course from the judge’s
perspective including the skills AKC expects you to have at all levels, handling challenges, traps, etc.

A big THANK YOU to all club members who worked at the Aug. 19 & 20 agility trial in Niles! I value each and every one of you! There is always room for improvement, but I heard some very nice compliments about how smooth things went and it is all due to your hours of volunteering for our club. A special shout out to Yvette Shipman as our Trial Secretary. This is the first trial Yvette has been Trial Secretary on her own and she did an outstanding job! Laura Bell and Marilyn Kelly, thank you also as you learn new jobs for us. The jobs DO get easier every time you do them! Eighty-seven percent (87%) of the jobs at this trial, excluding course builders, were filled by club members. You all are awesome! Please come out Oct. 6, 7, and 8 to work again. This time it will be at our club. Some jobs just require you to sit and place a bar when/if it falls, so there are jobs for everyone! Sandy Irish August Agility Trial Chair

Agility Classes for the Fifth Session of 2017
For club members, most agility classes are $24 for an 8-week class. Intro and Beginners classes are $50 for members.
**Payment must be received by the registrar (JoAnn Fedyski) at least two weeks in advance to reserve a spot in a class.**

Sunday Agility Practice Pat Goodwin & Cindy Zeisler Instructors
Fifth Session
If you are a club member and have been cleared (tested or have taken Agility 1) for safety on all the equipment, and your dog has been temperament tested by the Training Director, you are welcomed to practice agility from
10:00 AM until noon on Sundays.
Please plan on arriving no later than 11:30 AM as Agility Practice ends at Noon.
If Sunday Agility Practice (Fun Runs) has to be cancelled, the cancellation will be posted on the YABTC Facebook
page as soon as possible. All Sunday Agility Practice participants should go to the YABTC Facebook page and press “like”.
NOTE: Fun Runs are cancelled for Sunday, September 24th.
