Street Stall Bookings 2019Nominations Open: 2019 Australia Day Awards
Do you know someone whohas made a real difference inthe Upper Lachlan Shire?Nominations are now openfor the 2019 local AustraliaDay Awards in the followingcategories:• Citizen of the Year• Young Citizen of the Year• Event of the YearThe Awards, presented annually by Upper LachlanShire Council, are an opportunity to recognise exceptional examples of citizenshipand achievement within the Shire.Nomination forms and the eligibility criteria are available onCouncil’s website (www.upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au) or fromCouncil’s offices in Crookwell, Gunning and Taralga.Nominations close at 4.00pm on Friday, 26 October 2018.A selection committee will assess all nominations in strictconfidence. Bookings of one date per organisation will open onWednesday, 26 September 2018, for Street Stalls to beheld in Crookwell in 2019. The bookings will close onWednesday, 10 October 2018. Applications for furtherdates will be accepted from Thursday, 11 October 2018.Bookings will only be accepted in person at Council’sCrookwell Office, 44 Spring Street, Crookwell. All applicants will be provided with Council’s currentFundraising and Street Stalls Policy and will be requiredto sign a form acknowledging receipt. All organisationsare required to bring a copy of their current PublicLiability Policy/Certificate of Currency for a minimum of$10 million at the time of booking. Labour Day Council ClosuresCouncil wishes to advise the community that theCrookwell and Gunning Administration Offices,Crookwell and Gunning Works Depots, and TaralgaCommunity Service Centre will be closed on Monday, 1October 2018 for the Labour Day Public Holiday andwill reopen at 9.00am on Tuesday, 2 October 2018.Crookwell Library will also be closed on Monday, 1October 2018 and will reopen at 10.30am on Tuesday,2 October 2018. Gunning Library does not open onMondays. The Crookwell Visitor Information Centre willbe open on the Labour Day Public Holiday from10.00am to 4.00pm.Crookwell Tip will be closed on Monday, 1 October2018 and will reopen at 10.00am on Friday, 5 October2018. Council’s other Tips and Transfer Stations do notopen on Mondays.
