LIST OF HOLIDAYS DURING THE YEAR 2O2O IN RESPECT OF THESUB-ORDINATE CIVIL COURTS OF ASSAM

In addition to aforesaid holidays all Courts shall remain closed on such days as are observedas local holiday in Executive Offices and also on days which are observed as Public holidaysU/S 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 ()Ory of 1881) and also the Courts shallremain closed on such days declared as holiday by the State GoW. of Assam. The Officersand the staff may also avail the restricted holiday as declared by the State Govt. of Assam.

In exercise of the power vested under section 15 of the Act KI of 1887 (Ihe Bengal, Agraand Assam Civil Court, Act) the Gauhati High Court is pleased to declare the following days to beobserved as closed holiday during the year 2020 in all the Civil Courts in Assam Sub-ordinate toGauhati High Court.

(2) If any of the holidays for festivals notified above does not fall on the day notified, necessarymodification changing the date will be issued in due time.

All 2nd and 4th Saturdays and holidays falling on such Saturdays will be observed asholidays. All other Saturdays will be full working days.

(4) The Subrrdinate Civil Courts will enjoy either the holidays declared by the High Gurt orthe holidays declared by the State Govt. of Assam on the same occrsion falling on twodifferent dates.
