Lack of Teenage Jobs in Seaford
By Richard Lamontagne and Darnell Savage
There are not enough jobs for teenagers14 and up in Seaford, Delaware.
Problem
Dear Reprsentive, How are you today sir? Today I bring to you a good topic worth listening to which is lowering minum wage for about
90 days to encourage businesses to hire teenagers 14 and up . Today times are hard and more and more parents need there teenagers to start working and be able to have money in there pocket other than getting just allowance. They should get jobs to get ready for real life they can even maybe chip in with paying bills or buying gas for there own cars when they get them.
Teenagers can benefit in many ways from having a job. Teenagers would be more likely to go to college and prepare for life as a mature young grown up. There can be many businesses around for teenagers whether it is cutting lawns, raking leaves, walking dogs, washing cars, or any other things similar to those jobs. Also teenagers have a better posibility of staying out of trouble if they are working. It will also teach them responsiblilty and being commited to having there own jobs and working.
Another thing you could do is maybe to use companies and businesses around Seaford to attract the attention of teenagers to get them jobs. You could maybe offer them some sort of subsidy to businesses. You would pay with the tax payers money.
Overall we feel that this would benefit our town greatly for teenagers business and parents. This would also help
familes who are struggling greatly. Or buisness who are in need of employess. Please consider our proposal we look forward to hearing back from you.
Sincerely, Richard Lamontagne and Darnell Savage
