The holidays have always been a stressful time of year for me. Not knowing exactly what to buy

for everyone and wandering the stores at the local mall doesn’t seem to help. In the end I find myself at the local RiteAide buying something last minute that

has oh so much meaning. My nieces and nephews loved their Spongebob band aids and silly string I

wrapped in gauze with a bow last year. That is why this year I put some of my favorite Ste-

ampunk items in this issue. Ok, maybe it isn’t just for my family member’s to know EXACTLY (HINT HINT) what I want them to get me this year, but what every self respecting Steampunk out there probably wants,

needs, and didn’t know they needed.

After the last issue with Kato on the cover we didn’t know where or who we would ask to grace our

Holiday Edition. Then it came to me. FATE!! She is beautiful, awesome, steamy, and just as pretty as she

is smart. If you ever get a chance to meet her don’t miss it.

In September, we relaunched our website,LaidesOfSteampunk.com. It looks amazing and is just

about the best project I have ever been a part of. It keeps you up to date with all of the goings on in the

community with interviews, articles, and of course hot Steampunk’d Ladies. If you have not had a chance to

take a look at it yet you really should.

Lastly, I want to send out the best of holiday wished to everyone especially my amazing team. I am sur-

rounded by gifted and talented people that help make this magazine, calendar, and website such a rewarding

project to be part of. Without them I would be just a guy with an idea and unfulfilled dream.

W ell, here here we are at the second issue of Ladies of Steampunk Magazine! It’s been a hectic two months since our premier, with a tremendous influx of contributors and content enough to keep us busy for a few issues. As prom-ised, we’ll continue to bring you a variety of what the Steampunk culture has to offer: artists, musi-cians, authors, builders and, of course, plenty of lovely ladies! We were ecstatic beyond words to present the stunning Kato as our first cover mod-el, and she returns for this issue with news on her latest endeavor - SteamGirl! She’s a tough act to follow, so you can imagine our dilemma when it came to the decision of who would be the next beauty to grace the cover of our publication. As you can see, FATE more than adequetly lives up to the challenge!

So, what’s next you ask? Rest assured that planning for our New Year’s extravaganza is well underway, and is certain to be the perfect start for 2013. On that note, have you purchased your Ladies of Ste-ampunk 2013 Calendar?

Speaking of New Years, the holidays are now upon us (already?), and I would like to take this oppor-tunity to wish all of you the very best of health and happiness this season. I would also like to thank everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with for an amazing 2012! You truly are the ones who make all of this possible. Until we meet again...
