Note: Bring T-shirts or Baby clothes uncut to class. We will rough cut them, iron on the interfacing and then trim them to the finished size

Note: The T-shirts do not have to be the same size, or have the same amount of usable area.

Lightweight, non woven, single sided fusible interfacing – You can get this at JoAnn Fabric by the yard. We will have samples at signup. You will need a piece for each T-Shirt used. We will help with figuring the amount at signup. Fabric for the sashing, the borders and the binding. This fabric should be good quality all cotton and 40-43 inches wide. NOTE: Do not precut. patterns into larger art pieces. Keep it simple. The pattern I have chosen to use is a

water backed dragon fly with water lilies in foreground. I've enlarged it to a 12 x 14 size

Glass Grinders are needed and are extremely helpful. If anyone has one please bring it.

Black or white marker for glass. (Sharpies work fine.)

A variety of shank buttons (with the loop on the back), not the hole buttons. (Try to

collect buttons that

coordinate in color. Covered buttons work well, too.)

Buttons: Depending on your wrist size, and the size of your buttons you will need about 30

buttons.

If you have a larger wrist, bring more buttons. If you have enough buttons, plan

to make 2 bracelets

during this session. (Buttons go on sale 50% off at JoAnn Fabrics. If you don’t have enough in a button box somewhere, try to shop the sales.)

Stretcher bars (found on painting supply section of craft store) to make a stretcher a little smaller than your cloth.

Paintbrush that can be ruined (will be used with wax)

Optional - Tjanting needle if you can find one (try Dick Blick online)
