Deben amar en vez de juzgar Décimoprimer Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario Semana del 12 de junio del 2016 Escucha la Palabra (Lucas 7:36 — 50) ¿Qué palabras o frases los impactó? ¿Qué parte de esta lectura tocó tu corazón? ¿Qué se quedó en tu mente o en tu memoria? Ve tu vida Pregunta para los niños: Esta semana, ¿cómo pueden recibir a al-guien que se siente rechazado en la escuela o en tu vecindario? Pregunta para los jóvenes: Jesús pudo ver la fe de la mujer aunque ella era una pecadora. ¿Quién necesita de tu perdón aunque esa per-sona te haya ofendido? Nombra una manera en que puedas ofrecer tu perdón a alguien en las próximas semanas. Pregunta para los adultos: ¿Cómo pueden mostrar compasión por los marginados por la sociedad de hoy? Actividades para la semana Tomen estas actividades para reflexionar más:

Jesús recibe a los pobres y marginados. Se nos reta a ver a las personas a través de los ojos de Jesús. Esta semana, pasen tiempo en familia estudiando otra cultura, raza o grupo étnico. Cuenten historias de las maravillosas tradiciones de diferentes pueblos alrededor del mundo.

Hablen de la personas en su comunidad a quienes se les trata injustamente. ¿Qué puede hacer su familia para mostrar com-pasión por los marginados?

Tengan una conversación familiar sobre todas las personas que están involucradas en el proceso de suministrar los alimentos para su familia. What lingers in your memory? Look into your life Question for children: This week, how can you welcome some-one at school or in your neighborhood who is feeling left out? Question for youth: Jesus was able to see the faith of the wo-man, even though she was a sinner. Who is in need of your for-giveness, even though they have offended you? What is one way that you can offer forgiveness to someone in the weeks to come? Question for adults: How can you show compassion toward the marginalized members of society today? Activities for the week Take these activities to further reflect:

Jesus welcomes the poor and marginalized. We are chal-lenged to see people through Jesus’ eyes. Spend time as a family this week researching another culture, race or ethnic group. Share stories of the wonderful traditions of people from around the world.

Talk about people in your community who are treated unfair-ly. What can your family do to show compassion for those who are marginalized?

Have a family discussion about all the people who are in-volved in providing food for your family. Talk about the farmer who grows the wheat and corn, the baker who makes the bread, the factory workers, the truck drivers, and the people who check you out at the grocery store. Write a note of gratitude to someone you know in the food service indus-try.

Research agencies that serve new immigrants to your com-munity. Get involved as a family and put Christ’s love into action.

Decimoprimer Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario Como Nathan en la primera lectura de hoy, pecamos cuando empeza-mos a sentir el derecho y actuar como si lo que tenemos es nuestro por derecho, cuando nos olvidamos que todo lo que tenemos es un regalo no merecido de Dios. Pero Dios es clement y perdonador – inclusive cuando utilizamos mal Sus regales o los despilfarramos descuidadamen-te – si, como Nathan, confesamos nuestra culpa y pedimos su perdón.

Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

Like Nathan in today’s first reading, we sin when we begin to feel entitled and act as if what we have is ours by right, when we forget that everything we have is an unmerited gift from God. But God is gracious and forgiving – even when we use his gifts wrongly or squander them thoughtlessly – if, like Nathan, we confess our guilt and ask his pardon.
