After his release(date unknown), Informant learned during a casual con-versation with Iris that "Heinz" GRIMMS was employed byIRO, Salzburg and that he is again involved in sometype of illegal activities. Informant does not believethat Iris is in open relations with "Heinz" GRIMMS, be-cause of the fear that her husband might become aware ofher activities while he was a War Crimes prisoner.Whenever the aubjeot of the CRUMB brothere comes up,Iris is usually more than anxious to change the con-versation. Another personality with whom the SCHEMERSare in close contact is "Herbert"'(LNU) and hie wife;"Hilda°. fl ibrbert w ie a former SS member, who was asubordinate of CCHEIDLER during World War II. SERENTI, a journnliet, came to Auetria during1949, prior to which time he nad been imprisoned inRungary for hia journelietic activitiee during WorldWar II. He was releaeed and trained by KATPOL (KatonaPclitikai Osztaly - Military Political Department) andsent to Western Austria on a mission. SERENYI, withEarolY,ZARVALY, also a KATPOL Ageat, turned themselvesin to the Western Authorities upon their arrival inAustria. It is not the general opinion among HungarianDPs that BERENYI has had further lontact with the HIS.On the contrary, MEM has join,ld an extreme right-wing organization =elating of-former members of theHungarian Nyilaekereszt . ( Arrow Cross Party), which isoperating in Austria under the leadership of one lormerHungarian General Arpad HENFEY. SERENYI assume 's veryaotive role in this organization and distributes thegroup's monthly bulletin, "HidveroW, and other pro-paganda pamphlets.
