THE STARTLagniappe Brass Band was started back in November 2010 by Chet Overall from scratch. Most members hail from outside of New Orleans and inside thec city. We based our name on the French term, “Lagniappe” which is defined as “something given or obtained gratuitously or by way of good measure.” Mark Twain writes about the word as “a word worth traveling to New Orleans to get.” The Lagniappe Brass Band is here to give you the best brass music – and a little extra.

REWEDDINGSWe can provide a New Orleans flavor to your wedding by escorting the wedding party in traditional New Orleans parade style from the church to the reception. We can perform at the reception and also do a colorful New Orleans second-line parade through the reception and can also march the newly weds out of the reception at the end.
