I am a designer at heart. I have a passion for
creative, conceptual thinking that pushes
boundaries, catches the eye and blends the
natural and urban fabric seamlessly. My
objectives include creating unforgettable
spaces through a deep understanding of
place, culture and natural systems and
working with others who share my passion
for creating places that make a difference. I
bring a curious and open mind, enthusiasm,
dedication and a desire for excellence to
every project challenge.

A couple paired frequently in the
Thornton Watershed system - help
each other to survive and succeed.
The Gardener provides the home

the Lacewing plays defense in the
garden, allowing it to flourish in a

- Regional Scale -
This new location for an Environmental Learning Center is one more tie - one more branch - in the chain of ELC’s throughout
the Pacfic Northwest.
- Site Scale -
My focus or concept has to do with a process within Meadowbrook - the literal spreading of vegetation and the less literal spreading of Ecological Development and
Environmental Learning.
- My Idea -
The green path will primarily be an elevated walkway that weaves its way through canopies for environmental observation. It will lead visitors through the Story of Meadowbrook with leaf-shaped nodes of information + end points that guide you to check out various educational interventions (temporary + perminent). The path will occationally drop to different levels to experience highlighted areas of existing
ecosystems/habitats.
The Environmental Learning Center will have two shelters to create a clear beginning and end to the environmental walk where you can ask specific questions, get info, and relax with a complimentary beverage while
overlooking nature.

A series of typologies based on SDOT ’s street classifications of critical intersections within the Greenwood-Phinney neighborhoods of Seattle: This unique intersection creates a “heart” for the existing
community, and through simple intervention, prioritizes
bikes and pedestrians along side a vibrant
system of water management
and cultural integrity.

Seep is for the substantial amount of porous
pavement, which allows water to infiltrate, acts as a
visual cue for drivers and pedestrians, and has the
ability to further accentuate the cultural integrity of
a place. Blend is for the artful mixing of fresh and
saltwater flows promoting a vibrant variety of
biodiversity and habitat that will attract civic
observation and wildlife activity.
