  • 3In February a group of our Laguna team had the pleasure of travelling to the Hilton hotel in Brisbane to attend the grand final gala dinner of the REIQ 2013 Real Estate Excellence Awards.Whilst its always an exciting moment to receive the letter notifying us that we were finalists in two of the categories, (the Community Service award, one that is dear to our companys heart and Large Residential Agency) but to walk away with the win in the Large Residential Agency of the year award was a very special moment indeed, nothing quite compares with the pride we all felt on the night. It was the 14th time Laguna has reached the REIQ finals, and the second time we have won the Large Residential Agency title.

    I credit Lagunas winning formula to our service to clients and our overwhelming desire to do the best job possible. We are driven by achieving the best possible price for our sellers and maintaining positive outcomes to our landlords and tenants.

    Sitting amongst 550 other individuals from Queenslands finest practicing agencies large and small, gave me cause to reflect on just how far Laguna Real Estate has come as a company since its inception 35 years ago.

    We were up against some large national corporate names, and to be in the final two categories was confirmation that the ethics, systems, and ambitions we value for our staff and our clients have us on the right track.

    On reflection, I realized what a great group of people we have working for Laguna Real Estate from our young up and coming team members to our most experienced agents. Its without a doubt the quality of our people on the ground that underpins our continuing success. Our staff have a vast repertoire of attributes and experience, so I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of my team at Laguna for their irrepressible enthusiasm, hard work, and great company in the offices every day we are lucky indeed!

    We are off to the National REIA awards in Canberra next month so wish us luck!
