The project is first of its kind in Pakistan in the public sector to promote exports of value-added manufactured items from the textile sector as against the traditional style of exporting low-value products.
The project aims at providing factory space for establishing Garment Manufacturing Units. In-house training centre and testing laboratory may be set up. The project is likely to attract foreign as well as local manufactures to invest in the Garment Sector of Pakistan and increase exports of value-added products. 5
Brief Description of the Project
Attract foreign/local investors who may prefer to hire fully compliant state of the art factory space rather than invest their capital in purchase of land, construction of infrastructure and provision of utilities.
Provide an opportunity for public-private partnership.
Increase the proportion of value-added products in textile exports
Establishment of cluster of stitching units with complete ancillary support and services.
Objectives of the Project

Maximize the value of Pakistan’s cotton resources
Enhancement in production capacity
Availability of a Model for the manufacturing industry, fully
compliant with social, industrial and environmental standards
Attract foreign investment and relocation of manufacturing units
from other countries to Pakistan
Generate employment opportunities (About 6500 jobs directly
and approx. 13000-15000 persons indirectly)
Project would facilitate textile sector for attainting sustainable
growth.
