SCIENCE WEEK
This week students were busy, planning, designing, creating and testing the many and varied tasks given by their teachers. There were many smiles and lots of great discussions amongst the students about design elements, how to build and rebuild and which design gave the closest results to the desired outcome. Well done to all involved!
Enrolment Policy With the recent release of the updated enrolment policy there have been some questions around how this affects our families and our community. At Lake Munmorah Public School, there will be little that changes in regards to enrolment, as we continue to have space within our school to accommodate local students. There is scope to accept non-local enrolments as well, at this time, but this is subject to vacancies within particular year groups. Some year groups within our school are at capacity and as such we are unable to accept out-of-area enrolments. Please see the attached flyer to assist with any questions around this matter. Leave After next week, I will be taking extended leave until the 21st October. While I am away, Ms Kristie Weekes will be Relieving Principal, and Mrs Kylie Bales and Mrs Vanessa Slack-Smith will step into the role of Deputy Principal in a shared capacity. Parents of individual classes will be notified of changes to class teachers. Public Speaking Finals Congratulations to Chloe, Nixon, Jasper, Amahli, Lucy, Olivia and Taya who all attended the Public Speaking at Mannering Park PS. They represented our school with pride. Lakey’s Adventures This week Lakey has been a guest of 2K, and been a part of daily lessons within the classroom. He also took part in the Science Week activities in Stages One and Two.
