A fully sized Lomello Thickener, 100 sq. m oreo, hos been instolled ot the Gorpenberg Mine in Swedenond testedon leod concen- trote in both the primory ond secondory stoges. The resultshove been extremely good ond SALAcon now offer o Lomello Thickener which hos mony odvontoges over convenf ionol thickeners. Spoce requirements ore substonti- olly reduced, usuolly by obout 85 0/0. lt is simple in construction with few moving ports ond con be pre-fobricoted for ropid erection on site. Removol to onother siteis olso extreme- ly simple. The designollows for individuol odiusiments of clorificotionond of the thickeninq qreo. Additionoltopploies con be instolled 'r"n order to furtherenhonce clorificotion. Applicotions thot hove olreody been studied include: Thickening of concentrofes, middlings und toilinos. Clorificotion of thickener overflows. Slurry desliming operotions. Cleoning of process woter. Removol of solids from scrubber effluents. Removol of grit in leoch solutions.
