Reminders:
No sharp edges or corners
In compliance with safety rules and regulations
Able to stand safety under adverse weather conditions
Need to consider timing & cost factors, feasibility and practicality of
the design
Ceiling budget for fabrication of the proposed design for any cluster
shall be HK $600,000*
Please go through all annex documents
The following logos are required to be embed in the winning designs. Participating
Teams shall take this into consideration.
* It includes the cost of materials, supporting structures, fabrication fees, electrical/lighting devices (if any), and all other expenses relating to the fabrication of the winning designs.

The judging will be done on an anonymous basis
Two winning designs will be chosen.
Each team will receive HK$150,000 and a certificate.
The winning teams are required to work together with HKTB’s appointed
contractor to ensure that the winning displays could be put up in early
November 2017

Each team can only submit ONE design proposal
1. Printed three A2 size foam board panels (594mm x 420.5mm; maximum 13mm
thick)

* Confidential Registration Number consists of a random 6-digit number arbitrarily chosen by the Participating Team.

Master Layout Plan for Zone A or Zone B (scale of 1:2000) - design solution for all components - connectivity with the adjoining areas - proposed design & integration with the street(s) and neighborhood
area - The ambience created for pedestrian and people in the vehicles/buses
Photomontages, Perspectives, and / or other illustrations - To illustrate how the design concept is adopted to the lamppost(s) - The ambience created for the street and the neighborhood area.
Sections, Elevations and Installation detail - To illustrate how the design principles are adopted *Section(s) and Elevation(s) in scale not smaller than 1:25 **Installation detail in scale not smaller than 1:10
* All panels for the Entries must be completely flat. Any Entry with attachment on the panels will be disqualified.

To explain the overall design proposal including the design concept, implementation
and installation
3. Printed Urban Design Principle / Explanatory Note and Diagram
In A4 size (not more than TWO one-sided A4 page)
Texts in English at font size 12 (or with Chinese translation) (font size 12)
Urban Design Concept which should:
illustrate how to make the full use of the lamppost(s) and the design
create new streetscape, connectivity with the adjoining areas
other arguments on how the streetscape can be enhanced through their design
ideas.
4. A certified true copy of the proof of eligibility
Documentary proof of professional qualification (HKIA and/or HKIUD) of Team Leader
5. Signed original Entry Form (Annex 1)
6. USB Flash Drive with Item (1-5) in high resolution jpeg/png format (at least 150 dpi).
7. A sealed opaque envelope (A4 size), clearly marked with “Old Town Central Lamppost
Design Competition” enclosing Item (2-6) shall be submitted together with Item (1).
* All entries should be written in English. Supplement with Chinese content if required. All submitted deliverables should be produced at Participant’s own costs and will not be returned.
