Proposed - Permeable Tarmacadam Surface TreatmentProposed Key Stage 2 area of hard play to be of a permeable tarmacadam surface treatment. Base course nominally: 70mm of 20mm size open graded binder course (190 Pen); Surface course: 40mm of 10mm size open graded surface course(190 Pen) on Type 3 granular material in accordance with Highway Agency Specification (subject to Drainage Engineer’s Report).

Proposed - Wet Pour Safety Surface TreatmentProposed safety surfacing to Key Stage 1 area of soft play to be ‘Rubber Wet Pour’ supplied by Wicksteed Playscapes, or equal and approved. Wearing course: Rubber EDPM granule and polyurethane resin mixture. Base course: Rubber EPDM; compacted sub-base MOT Type 1. Seperating geo-textile membrane to be ‘Terram 100’, or equal and approved. Combined safety surfacing depth of 70mm to provide a total critical fall height to 2.0m when tested; safety surfacing to be in accordance with BS EN 1177 and BS 7188.

Proposed - Log Piles and Insect HotelsProposed insect hotels and log piles located within the habitat area. Insect hotels to be constructed from recycled timber pallets filled with dead wood, hollow stems, bamboo cances, dry leaves, pipes and bricks. Log piles to be a mixture of wood and different sized logs with bark intact.

Wildflower areas are not to be subject to any soil additives, ameliorants or conditioners. Wildflower areas to be seeded with ‘EM2 - Standard General Purpose Meadow Mixture’ supplied by Emorsgate Seeds, or equal and approved.

Proposed - Native Understorey Shrub Planting & Native Hedgerow Wildflower GrasslandProposed native mixed-species understorey shrub planting and hedgerow wildflower grassland mix to the habitat garden area.
