PASTOR MRS. DEBORAH TOWOBOLA HOME CALL With heavy heart, the College woke up on the early morning of Friday November 27, 2020 to receive the sad news of the demise of our beloved sister, mother and student; Pastor Mrs. Deborah Towobola, a degree two student of the department of Religious Education. The College visited her family to condole with the husband and children. Also, the College was ably represented at the burial programme which held on Monday November 30, 2020 at Halleluyah Baptist Church, Ibadan. Her classmates who understood her indelible impact “as a mother” to them, gave her the last burial rites and honour by serving as undertakers who joyfully carried her cofn during the programme. The College family prayed for God’s abiding presence for the Towobola’s family and His mercy over the College. RETREAT/REVIVAL AND BEGIN THE MONTH WITH GOD The second semester of 2020/2021 academic session, began with seven days (7) retreat/revival from February 1-7, 2021 at 8:00am to 9:00am daily. The retreat/revival was anchored by Pastor Moses O. Obabunmi from Graceland Baptist Church, Oyo and Pastor Idowu Okunlola from First Baptist Church, Ilora. Moreover, Begin-the-month-with-God was not left out in the College programme, this was observed from February 1-3, 2021 by 3- 4pm with members of the College committed to fervent prayer. The Rector and her hubby, Rev. Dr. Ayanwande Ayandokun visited the family of the rst Principal of the College (called Joint Baptist Pastors School), Rev. Dr. D. O. Olaniyi of blessed memory on December 27, 2020. Mama Olaniyi, the widow of the late leader and the family were glad to receive the College’s rst family. It was a time of joy and blessing for the Ayandokuns and the College from the Olaniyis. The Rector on behalf of the College presented end-of- the-year gift to the family. VISITATION TO THE FAMILY OF FIRST PRINCIPAL OF THE COLLEGE The College Management with Langham Preaching Initiatives, Nigeria, organised a special preaching seminar for the students and interested individuals from Churches to improve their preaching effectiveness. The Seminar which was a great eye-opener on the rudiments of preaching and teaching God’s word held for four days; Tuesday, April 6 to Friday, April 9, 2021.The College Students, Faculty and few Senior staff participated in the highly motivating, life-giving seminar. 2021 FACULTY/STAFF RETREAT At the commencement of the 2020/2021 academic session, the College Management organized seminar for Faculty and Staff. The details of the three days were as follow:

*Dutiful, Dynamic &Efcient Staff in Theological Education/ Leading with Precision and Accountability by Dr. Samuel Olaojo*Your Health, Your Work and Your Responsibilities by Mrs. O.A. Owolabi*Time Management for Effective Performance at Duty Post by Prof. Esther Ayandokun*Financial Management by Rev. J. J. Olamoyegun

It was an honour to have the NBTS, Ogbomoso President, Prof. Emiola Nihinola in our midst, who anchored the second day of the seminar tagged “Five Competencies for Effective Leadership of Theological Education and Fundamental for Effective Ministerial Training.”

The last day of the seminar was mainly for the Faculty staff and this was anchored by Rev. Dr. G. O. Olaniyan. The seminar was divided into three segments as noted:1. Preparation for Effective Teaching and Learning in

a Theological Institution. 2. Delivery for Effective Teaching and Learning in a

Theological Institution.3. Assessment for Effective Teaching and Learning in a

Theological Institution.The Rector, who was full of appreciation to the invited guests, thanked God for the seminar and staff who made themselves available. It is hoped that the seminar would improve staff productivity and service delivery in the new semester.

In fulfillment of the Great Commission, students under HOPE; an evangelical team in the College took the good news of our Lord Jesus to the inmates at Ogbomoso Correctional Centre on February 19, 2021. The leader of the team, Pastor Akeem Adeagbo preached on “Put your Faith in Jesus only.” Seven inmates gave their lives to Christ after the message. Other members of the team were: Rev. Emmanuel Alabi, Pastor Olawale Olaniyi, Pastor Taiwo Adeyinka Bamiyowa, Pastor Abraham Ayangbenro, Pastor Philemon Oyewole, Pastor Ezekiel Adegboyega, Pastor Rebecca Olanrewaju, Pastor Oluwole Orekoya and Pastor David OziChrist Idowu and Pastor Sunday Moses Ajibade.Praise the Lord!

COLLEGE STUDENTS EVANGELISM AT AKESAN MARKETThe College students embarked on market evangelism on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Akesan Market, Oyo. It was a moment of joy in fulfilling the Great Commission as the students did one to one evangelism and preached at strategic places within the market.

2021 ENTRANCE EXAMINATION CONDUCTED SUCCESSFULLY

The 2021 College Entrance Examination took place on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 09:30am. The examination which featured English Language, Old Testament knowledge, New Testament knowledge and Current Affairs was well attended by over 100 students across Degree, Diploma and Certicate classes. The oral interview took place on April 15 and 16, 2021 for successful applicants in the written examination We wish the applicants success in the interview in Jesus’ name.

The Youth Fellowship of Oyo Baptist Conference led by its out-going President, Rev. Idowu Okunlola paid a courtesy visit to the leadership of the College on Thursday, February 25, 2021.In his speech, the President of the fellowship introduced the new leadership of the fellowship to the College Management and noted that they had come to contribute to the infrastructural development of the College through their nancial donation. The Management, ably represented by the Registrar, ’Yomi Salako and Bursar, Rev. J. J. Olamoyegun thanked the Youth leadership for their response to the call of the College’s Rector to all and sundry to assist in the development of the College through the donation of blocks and cements. The duo prayed for God’s blessing upon the fellowship and her new leadership.
